I have been trying to play the bonus round from last night since about 3
meastern time. When I try to all I get is the reverse auction. I feel like I am being forced, even though I don't have enough points to, play the reverse auction and not allowed to play the bonus round, especially before it is too late. Everytime I try to refresh the page, I am still not allowed to play the bonus round. I don't think that is fair.

Never won either. Been a member since way early on. I have the old 7 digit SPINID, 2 initials followed by 00023.
With all the new members odds of winning are like 10,000,000 to 1. Or worse. |

For example, I think that a customer service person would probably award Bmomnett the 10 Points for the Bonus Puzzle Solution from March 17th if he or she wasn't able to get them because of the confusion caused by the Reverse Auction. |

Thank you pollymarie, your comments are very informative and helpful.
I would have to agree with your comments about customer service awarding points. Everytime I've had any problem, they've given me the points without question. I would add that the contact us link may take up to a day or two, but when you're looking to get your 10 pts back the email form works fine for me. This can be done by clicking on Contact at the bottom of the page, or visiting: http://www.sonyrewards.com/en/footer/contact_us/ I also agree that I've seen quite a few sites that run way worse than the Sony rewards site, including some of which I have authored or help update as a web designer. That said, there is always room for improvement. I agree that the first thing to do when you are having problems is refresh the page and wait for the page to completely load before doing anything, but I would like to add that if that doesn't fix the problem, the second thing to do is wait a while and try again. The only time I have ever had any real problem with the site is when they are changing or editing something, like the daily question or bonus round. So, if you're accustomed to logging in during the times they change these things, you may end up with an error or two, but be patient and refresh the page, and it should work fine. I would also add that if you continue to have problems and none of the things above permanently fixed your problem, you might think about checking your internet options and editing them to allow this site to run properly. Clearing your cache is a one time fix, and if your internet options are not configured properly, you might have to do this on a regular basis to get the site to work. |

It is true that you used to have more control over how far the bar went, because it went slower, but you never really had control over the wheel. It is a program which randomly selects multipliers for you. There is no way to ensure that you get a specific multiplier by timing the bar. Thank you for the compliment about the bitter thing. I just couldn't stand back and read all these posts while we're all on a rewards website. They're basically giving us free points and free stuff. None of us are entitled to any of this for any reason, and we should be happy that it exists in the first place. I do agree with the one complaint by alot of people though, I'm never on the winners list either. What's up with that? ![]() Anyway, that's my 2 cents worth. |

Hey, I thought I was a winner when I saw my ID number win last month. When I called and they checked they come back and said OH! that's your old number it is inactive it is being pulled...$5,000 would have been nice...

I'm not going to "quote" the entire posts for pollymarie and egghead here, but I want to thank them for the gracious and informative comments they both made. It is so true that with all the complaining we do here, we need to just step back and thank Sony for it is their site, their rules and their ways. And, we must just abide by those and be thankful that they offer one of the few truly FREE and fun opportunities to win great prizes, have fun while doing it and meet GREAT people in our little WOF community!

What is your browser?
I posted last night that Google Chrome worked better than Firefox for the sonyrewards.com pages, at least last night. Have not tried IE browser.
I will try a cache clear. Many sites are slow for me. I was about to blame my Internet service provider. Using Windows XP. Have not tried on Windows 7 yet. My new install of Windows 7 is full of problems. ![]() -------------------------------- Using Firefox today. All is working well. Daily Giveaway spun fast after clicking. Got 10X on the spin for 500 points. (Got 9s on spins for the last three days too. Have won nothing, no help.) Did not do a cache clear either. Last edited by ZeeToo; 11-05-2009 at 07:40 AM.
