Thanks, that was fun. I also must give thanks to my older sister's record collection -- the reason I got the order right. The only albums on the list I ever owned myself were Sgt Pepper and Hotel California.

I had high hopes for this quiz, because I love classic rock (despite being born in 1975, so I didn't have the advantage of the "old timers" here
). A tie for fifth is probably the best I'll ever do in one of these Chronologies, unless someone asks to put Audrey Hepburn movies or Stephen King books in order... (hint hint) ![]() Thanks! |

You could always do one (hint, hint). (That's why I did Chronology V - I didn't want to wait around for one I'd do good in ... )

I remember "Walk This Way" on the radio in 1976, but it must not have been brand-new, any more than "Nights in White Satin" was new in 1972. For me, the ascendance of AC/DC marked the death of the rock'n'roll I'd come to love earlier in the '70s. KISW-FM in Seattle used to be an amazing AOR station, and when I got back from freshman year in 1980, they'd gone all hard rock/heavy metal/whatever you call that headbanger garbage that AC/DC epitomized, at least for me. The summer '79 post-megahype letdown of Zeppelin's In Through the Out Door didn't help either. Woof, I very much enjoyed this terrific quiz and your informative writeups in the reveals. Thanks a bunch for putting it on. Nice work! |

Stephen King books in order would be zero city for some. A slightly better challenge would be a combination of characters or places? Okay, back to "Under The Dome." Less than 1000 pages to go.
