The numbers for Friday's show will take a hit because of the pre-emptions in in a couple major markets. Perhaps you could mention if you went elsewhere to view the scenes or if you stayed up to watch on Soapnet. We could even rewatch on NBC.com. I bet they keep track of hits there.

There was one aspect about the grave site scene that I think I would have changed... I kind of would have liked EJ to ask Sami about Grace's birth and then have Sami go into her monologue... I thought that, since EJ initiated the visit to the grave site, it would have been better had EJ initiated the discussion at the grave site. I just thought how the topic was brought up could have been different...

I had one other thought; and some have already it pointed out. That is the amazing quality of EJ and Sami's interactions during very special moments (yesterday, EJ and Sami in the safe house, their May, 2008 conversations, the hospital scenes when EJ told Sami about the miscarriage and the scene in Sami's apartment after her grandfather died come to mind) It doesn't matter whether they are happy, fighting, grieving or making love, during those moments, they reveal to one another a side of themselves that they reveal to no one else. During those moments, EJ is no longer EJ DiMera; and Sami is no longer Sami Brady... They are just EJ and Sami...

During those brief moments we see EJ and Sami when they are most open... when they are most vulnerable.... and when they are most honest... It is only when reality interrupts that moment... a father calls.... a boy friend arrives.... that the moment is lost; and Sami once again becomes Sami Brady and EJ once again becomes EJ DiMera...

I am sure I will have more thoughts.. As usual, EJ and Sami scenes always give so much food for thought and have to be watched multiple times to get the most out of them.

Red... nice summary of yesterday... especially liked your insight into Sami... we do need more of that...

Diane... hope the news from the doctor was good.

It's nice coming in here and seeing so many smiles on everyone's faces..

*James doesn't watch American soaps, so what might be shocking to him probably won't be as shocking to anyone who has grown up with the show. But he did sound happy, and acts like he thinks fans will be happy as well.
