I thought it looked great but he moved way too slowly. He scales whole buildings in seconds in the comics and cartoons, then why not the movie?

Yeah, I was not pleased with the little flick that they are using to promote the film. Give us something we can use to get the excitement going for the movie!!!!

Being a new on the computer in the first place is bad enough, but I have a really sucky media player and I guess I'm just not gonna see anything. But man am I glad they are finally making the movie. Been a fan since I was twelve. I have over 1500 old comics I moon over when I can. Yeah, I'm a nerd too. An old one.

Is the wall-crawling footage CG or live action? It's hard to tell at that resolution and framerate. If it's CG, well done. If it's LA, well done too. Just curious.

The idea is that the FX piece is all CGI and if it is its quite impressive. However, that shot could easily have been done with a set built on the floor and the actor crawling along! The angles used didn't emphasize that Spidey is going up which makes it look like he is just crawling on the floor. Whichever way they do it... CGI or live, it should look amazing on the big screen.

The scene appears to be a mixture of CG and live action. It looks like spidey is crawling on a floor set surrounded by green screen. They then put a back ground around him.

the key i think is in the acrobatics, no superheroe movie to date has done justice to hero in the stunts.
In spiderman's case, I think the guy is able to lift 6 tons, his reflexes are so fast due to his spidersense, he can dodge bullets while in mid-air, and he has the agility of a spider. Now if they get realistic as to how a human spider would move, he should be able to crawl up a wall faster than you or I could run with near instant acceleration. At a weight of 165lbs, and with the strength he has, he could jump upin the air, do 20 flips and land in a hand stand on his little finger...
I hope they do him justice and when they decide what the villain is going to do, to be realistic on how he could have a chance at fighting powers like that

I agree that the footage was kinda disappointing, but still i think it was good. Can't wait to see it on the big screen!!!
P.S.: Do you think I put too many exclamation marks?

I think that the footage is great....
true, it's only the beginning, but if this is
what we all have to look foarward to, then
I am very psyched....
I was really worried that they would ruin this movie,
but so far, everything pionts to greatness!

The ImageWorks footage is 100% CGI. Its main purpose was to get a feel of what a man crawling on a wall would look like. Therefore, he is not scurrying up the wall at full speed. The final effects in the movie will be much different (read better).
