spiderman has always had syinthetic web shooters, so it doesn't suprise me that people will not feel the movie will be true to form if spiderman had organic web shooters.

But i put this to you, what makes you think that spidey never had the ability to generate organic webbing in the first place, when he was wearing the symbiote costume, he was able to generate webbing without the aid of web shooters. Maybe the costume allowed him to access the ability which he never knew he had.

I leave it for you to decide, synthetic or Organic?

they have compromised somewhat in the fact that he has organic web spinnerettes on his forearms (wrist area) but he needed to make mechanical Web-shooters in order to control them (e.g. creating a net or a webline etc) so in reality this would effectively be a little closer to the comic

Hmm, Well, I'm not a conservative on the subject, I welcome such subtle changes if they are well done.

Actually, the symbiote costume created the webbing from itself. This was proven when Spidey realized this, and used it to his advantage to fight Venom by making him use up too much of his costume from over-webbing.

I don't see how the bio-mech concept is any kind of a compromise. I for one never advocated for mechanical webshooters. I just wish they'd drop the organic concept altogether.

Hmmm, let me think... Look fellas,

I don't know where you all stand on the issue, but half of what made Spidey almost more human than Super human is watching either during mid-swing of during a good brawl, and seein' him run out of web fluid. Yes, the kid has super powers, but to give him organic web shooters, he ceases to be the PETER PARKER that WE all enjoyed reading. Seriously, I loved seein' Spidey in the middle of a fall and realizing that he'd just spun the last of his fluid...
"Great... What else can go wrong?"
CLASSIC MARVEL SPIDER-MAN. Please stay true to the Comic. STAN LEE, Have you nothing to say on the issue?!?!?!?

I know that this issue has been debated for like a year now, but I thought of something that nobody has yet to mention!! One of Raimi's reasons for using organics in the movie is that it will bring us closer to the character. That the genetic alteration seems more likely than a young boy actually making something like webshooters/ fluid. But I recall a comment that SPIDER-MAN made on the 1990's FOX cartoon series. It was some episode with that old "spider lady" or something. But Spider-Man was talking to this young girl, and she asked him how he makes his web fluid, and he said that the spider bite gave him THE KNOWLEDGE OF ASSEMBLING CERTAIN PROTEINS IN CERTAIN ORDER, so he could make the web fluid. Being a genius, and a n expert chemist, I am absolutely sure that Peter Parker could have figured out how to manufacture the web fluid from the knowledge he obtained from the spider bite. THis would have been way more believeable than anything else!!!!!! What do you think?

Next time, can you just put a thought like that as a topic? Not a reply in like 4 other topics? It might save you time!

Enough with the webshooters already people! My goodness!
