A site dedicated to one of America's favorite super-heroes makes his biggest fans "EARN" the right to see more of the site than available to the newbies...
I have probably been reading Spider-Man since before the jerk that came up with this idea was even a thought in their Mommy's ****hest thoughts.
A lot of people do not want to have the extras installed to get into the site. If I had known it was this lame I wouldn't have bothered myself. Especially when it screwed up my system and took me days to get things set right again so I could get in only to find how LAME it is... Is it going to get any better? I keep checking and it hasn't.
What was that Spider-Man Hype url again?

Why not help promote Spider-Man. If you feel strongly about this film I think you should encourage more interest by introducing this site to others. With great power comes...

If we have to earn our webs (so to speak) then the
incentive should be greater rewards, such as invititations
to private pre-release screenings which could be held
in some of the major North American cities were the fan-
base could really feel like their part of something BIG!!!

Speaking of all this, has anyone here got to the second level? If so, what are the rewards like? Was it worth the extra effort?

I think the ultimate prize would cast as an extra in the movie,
something like Stan Lee's cameo in X-MEN.
The reality is more likely to be a giant no-prize.

I love Spiderman as much as the next guy, but I'm not going to randomly spam a bunch of sites to help promote what could end up being like that 1980's Spiderman movie. Have you seen that 'test footage'? It's ****. It's a guy crawling along a floor that looks like a building. Wow. I did that at the local science center. I know that there are a lot of talented guys working on this. I have great faith and hope for this film, but I'm not going to throw my lot in with them until I see something really impressive.

I know what you mean. So far, only ONE of my friends has become a member. This pisses me off. I hope it's worth it, cause I'll be trying those friends again very soon. Now that I think of it, if they haven't signed up yet, they're not very good friends!

ladies and gentlemen. this is a movie about our favorite superhero. i think we have waited long enough and look forward to seeing how the production company pulls it all together. i expect to be held spellbound through the entire thing. spidey rules and now he's brought to life! isnt that exciting enough. everyone likes to ***** and whine about something but i bet no matter how peeved you are you're gonna go see this thing at least twice. lighten up. movies like this are for fun...a break from reality which is something we all need every once i a while.

How is it that a movie studio can charge me $13.00 to go see a movie, AND expect me to do free labour for their marketing and promotions department. They must have millions of dollars budgeted for promo's, so let me have 'em.
I will gladly wait for the DVD to come out, thus avoiding the theater, and having to annoy my friends to see a web site.

This Network stuff SUCKS! We need a site that GIVES us stuff and doesn't make us WORK for it!!!!!
I really want to support this site and the movie, but come on folks-do you really expect us to be your pawns in this little marketing game? Give us some freakin credit, and some coll stuff will ya?
Change or die I say!!!!!!

I know this might sound stupid but in what part of the X-Men movie was Stan Lee?

Agreed with all of you. Spamming people to get them to check out the site sucks, and cheapens the films image.
I can see the log in thing - if it worked. But half the time it doesn't.
I can see it because yeah, they want to know what level of interest there is in the flick... but an open site design, and more freebies (like better test footage), and where the hell are all the shots from the set?
Hell... RED DWARF's site has better interaction with the fan and payback for the fan than this. The graphics are cool... the flash media (contrary to the whiner who's system couldn't handle shockwave) are cool... but **** sam martha.... I just want info on the movie -- not a date with the freakin cast!

Stan Lee was the uncannily mortified hot-dog vendor on the beach in the scene where the mutated, amphibious Senator Kelly walked as****. If you add a touch of grey hair, a mustache and large shades to my icon, that was Stan Lee.
By the way, Stan Lee has the same look of jaw-dropping horror in every cameo he does, like in The Trial of the Incredible Hulk and Muppet Babies.

I posted about this somewhere else, but I'll say it here too.
It looks like they've redesigned the network to get rid of those lame-***** pledge objectives. It says something like "When the fans talk, we listen" and I don't see anywhere to submit spam to my friends anymore.
Guess they listen to us, eh? That's nice to know.
