I know that most of these message boards are to express
your feelings about a certain topic,..but jeez! I Love Spiderman, and have been a fan,...not quite as long as the prestigious spidey1957,... but long enough to have become an adoring fan! I was, by the way, being completely smart-assed when I say prestigious about spidey1957. If you love spiderman sooooo much....don't insult any endeavor to glorify him. As for the folks out there that are putting the movie down already,....get a life! The world has enough complainers. I feel this movie will satisfy all true believers!
By the way '57, if that's the year you were born......stop
whining and act your age! Rock on you great people at this site! **** the Man who puts the webslinger down!!!!
Peace.

... well spoken...
... let it be said that we are FINALLY getting a Spi[)er-(V)an movie, handed to us by people who are obviously aware of the great responsibility that rests on a project of this calibur and magnitude...BE THANKFUL FOR THAT... ... have faith; they WILL do it justice, enough that all those whiny WeBheads and supposed 'fans' will finally have their mouths SHUt once and for all after the movie opens...

I know just about everyone on this site wants the very best for our beloved webslinger,....including me. My earlier messages were somewhat bland, but upon reading more and more, I find myself willing to accept all veiws. But, as roundeye put it, those of you out there who want more than this movie can probably deliver,....well, you're setting yourself up for a major letdown! For example..: people went to see" Starship Troopers" expecting a kickass sci-fi
flick. Most were dissapointed because it wasn't what they thought it was going to be.I on the other hand thought it was very entertaining in a comic book sort of way! With these type of movies you have to go in " Hoping for the best,..but prepare for the worst." I think Spidey will more than pull it off! Let' hope for the best! I am!

I for one am looking forward to seeing people who have no interest in comics go and see this movie. Marvel didnt quite pull it off with X-Men, as far as new readers goes; but it is so obvious that they are starting early. The new issues look clean and fresh, and they are really pushing Spidey up there into the forefront, as he deserves.
He is one of those few superhero icons that is instantly recognizable to people who dont necessarily read comics. Up there with Batman, Superman, Hulk etc. so the sheer sellability factor will pay off when it comes to box office takings. But please, let's silence all those critics who are shooting it before it even leaves the starting gate. Is there nothin worse than reading a criticism, then wathcing the film and hear that critiscism repeated over and over in your head, marring your enjoyment. Here's to Spidey, Here's to Peter!!!!......oh, and let's have Doc Ock and Venom in Spider-Man 2 , eh?
