I personally think we're gonna get multiple villians in the second Spidey movie. We almost ended up with two (Doc Ock & Gobby) in the first, but fortunately, Raimi decided to concentrate on a single bad guy.

Doctor Octopus has got to be the main villian in the sequel, but if they have a second one in a lesser role.............I'd like to see another one of the original Sinister Six. Like the Sandman, Electro, or even the Vulture! Then have Mysterio as the main villian in the third movie!! (nothing like thinking ahead, huh?.............hehe)

No Venom or Carnage in the next one, I'm leaning toward Doc Ock, he's my best bet in the sequal, and GG.

i think the next villain should be the doc ock and the lizard......then throw in Venom and Carnage in the 3rd movie and play it by the cartoon by having the black costume spider-man

I agree that Doc Oc would make a great villain for the second film. However, commercial movies being what they are, commercial, I think they may well go the Venom route. Let's face it, it is only the "hardcore" fans like us that would prefer a "classic" villain like Doctor Ocotpus over a flashy and more fantastic villain like Venom. In today's movie world, the whole alien-like appearance and mental instability of Venom and Carnage means more $$$ for the movie makers, even if it may outrage the old school fans. And that is what it is about, the almighty dollar.

I guess all that I am saying is that if and when they make a second movie, they are going to use a villain that they believe will brung in the crowds, NOT a villain that will be loyal to the Spidey storyline. (look at the FOX animated series, how quick did they bring in Venom?)

I would not count Doc Oc out, but if I HAD to put money on it, I would put $10 on Venom. hehe
