After the death of one of Batman greatest loved foes, the Joker, at the end of 1989's Batman, I hope the Mr.Raimi doesn't perform the same demise for one of Spidey's best adversaries. Hopefully Harry Osborn/The Green Goblin won't suffer instinction at the end of the film. I suppose it would set up Harry to hate Spider-Man and the emotional trauma for him to take over the Green Goblin persona. I still say, don't kill off Norman Osborn.........

BUT, how would a movie like that end without all of us feeling like the movie was pure cheese and obviously left open for a sequal so that money hungry hollywood execs can milk a great property until even it's hardcore fans don't give a ****? "Batman and Robin" (up yours Shumacher).

I don't want to see him die either, I'm just wonderring what the other options would be.

... that ****SPOILER ALERT**** Spi[)er-(V)an dies, and that Joel Schumacher dons the ol' blue-and-red leotards to viciously wage the war against crime and decent superhero movies aided by his newly acquired powers of a bat, a fairly large spider, and NO eye for cinematography or direction... this is, however, circulating in certain rumor mills...

Well,...I personally would love for the Goblin to live a few more episodes,...but unfortunately,...thanks to our friend 7272,...it seems he must die. As we all remember the climactic battle betwen Spidey and Osborne,...I think we should look at the "whys" of Gobby's demise! It was because of the death of Gwen Stacy that pissed Peter off to the brink of uncontrollable rage! I don't remember her name in the credits! That would be the only thing that would really upset me, not sticking to the original "death" of Osborne. Maybe Raimi will pull one of his Evil Dead moves and have the Goblin pop up at the very end like the demons always did to Ashe! I dunno,....I just want to se the movie and enjoy it to the fullest a spider fan like me can! Let's all try to do that!! Rock on Web Slinger!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know this for fact, but anyone who has any insight into the movie world or spidey can make this educated guess. The saga will continue and u tools who think Venom is gonna get a toss in the 2nd movie are "Pipe dreaming".You guys are obviously cartoon spidey fans.Nuff said

The Goblin has to die....no sense of closure otherwise and they can't move on to a sequel (let's hope!). Oh yeah...7272 is right.....only Schumacher would bring Venom into the limelight for a Spiderman movie. Reads: lame plot device= Venom. The Kangaroo would be a better villian than him......Toodles!!!!!!!!!

I personally think that Norman will meet his end by teh time the credits roll on this film. I don't think it would be absolutley necessary, but it will probably happen. Another possibility is that Spidey just defeats and exposes the Goblin and causes his vast empire to crash then causing resentment by Harry, but I think that would be a little too deap for a comic book movie. At any rate, If Norman must die, just don't let Spidey kill him intentionally. We all know that he doesn't go that route. Although, Batman supposedly doesn't go that route either and he started killing people off on purpose in Batman Returns, (he torches that one guy with the flames from the batmoblie).

No worries, guys and gals.... Cuz according to the comic books, Norman does die only to come back later.

So if he does die, then the movie is following the Comic book time line.

Which I think is what most people want, no?

I'm all for bringing Venom into a sequel......heh!

Heck, the Goblin could die in the movie and they'd still bring him back, They'd just have to have some flashback of how he narrowly escaped with his life kinda thing. But I wouldn't him back for the second movie. maybe the 3rd. Have Doc Ock in the second!
