Anybody here remember the old spidey TV show with the crazy psychedelic theme music?... I was seven years old and trippin' ;) what a classic.

Are you referring to the late 1970s television series starring Nicholas Hammond? If so, I loved it as a kid. When I was older in the 1980s, I bought a copy of the original TV movie on videocassette. Although I recognize that the show can't compare with what Sam Raimi and company will be able to pull off with the Sony movie, the TV show was impressive for its time. The costume was accurate, and the wall-crawling was believable. My only disappointment with the upcoming movie is that Nicholas Hammond doesn't have a cameo in it. No matter what you think of the show, a cameo would have been a nice tip of the hat and acknowledgement of Spider-Man's filmed history, much like the appearances in the 1978 Superman movie of 1940s Superman serial actor Kirk Alyn and 1950s TV Lois Lane Noel Neill.

sorry i've been away but that's the f'n show I'm talkin' about! Ah what a classic. I'm glad someone out there also appreciates great pop art. I also bought the video a few years ago and watched with my bro and couldn't believe how well it held up - and we were sober, go figure!
You're right, a cameo would be the polite thing to do. There's gotta be time -- Sony you listenin?

wow... i remember this show!!! The special effects with the webs were hilarious!!! I totally agree that Hammond should get an appearance. Makes sense. Do you think it could happen?

Man! I'm really starting to feel like such an old ****! But it's nice to see that Spidey is still drawing in new young fans.

Hi! I'm a Canadian fan looking for info on old Spidey tv shows, too. Does anyone know where (preferrably here in Canada) I can get my hands on episodes based on the 1980's Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends TV series? Firestar and Ice-Man were totally cool! And, of course, Spidey rocked as well. I'd really appreciate the help. Email me @ the following address if and when you find out.
PEACE!!!

I loved the Nick Hammond spidey show. The music was funky and funilly enough there was more wall cawling in these shows than in the actual 2002 - 2007 movies
