WHAT IF! Instead of using Sin Eater (like the comics) or Mysterio (like the 90's animated series)......they use Sandman as the lynchpin for Eddie Brock making a report that later turns out to not be true.
After Eddie's story on Sandman comes out, Sandman becomes hunted again at his home (where his wife and daughter? are put at risk). But it turns out that the claims Eddie Brock made are not true. Sandman is not the one to blame for whatever it was that was reported (for an example let's use "Sandman = Murderer" re: the Uncle Ben killing)
Ok, the truth comes out. Sandman didn't do it. The Daily Bugle takes a reputation hit. JJJ fires Eddie Brock. Eddie Brock goes to the church to contemplate his life and then Enter Symbiote from on high.

Then, why would they team up to get revenge on Spidey later? Their Bios said they are motivated by the same thing, along with Harry: Revenge.

Cool theory, but I agree with EBJr. Why would he be driven by revenge (revenge on who?), and why would he team up with Venom after (they do team up?)?

Nowadays it's a bit dangerous to click anything if you don't want the whole movie spoiled for you, but anyway here's a theory of mine of the final battle (yeah, it's out there, we know, but if you wanna talk 'bout please put a spoiler warning there!).

Okay, this theory is a bit of a spoiler too but, anyway... SPOILER


You remember the small part where Sandman's beating Spidey at the construction site-set in the sneak peak released few weeks ago?
Well, at the background there are two persons, and the other one seems to be protecting the other.
Now, all I can think of is Ms. Marko and her daughter.
But why are they there?
Why's Flint there, if Venom set it all up? Doesn't really make sence if we think of Venom as a character who wants to kill Spidey himself.
Then, it clicked (not really a big click though :)).

Flint does something that hurts Eddie alot (no clue what though), and so Venom kidnappes Flint's wife and daughter (along with MJ).
Flint thinks it was Spidey who did this, and starts to beat the living, uhh, poo outta him when Venom then attacks (possibly threats to kill Flint's daughter in front of his eyes for revenge), then Harry shows etc. etc...

thats a good theory but here is a mistake eddie ddidnt went to the chrch to contemplate his life he went there to ask God kill Peter Parker so I dont think that can happen but as a good theory

I think it will go like this.

In the scene when brock is taking pics of spidy. Spidy is probably trying to put money back were it belongs. Eddie makes up a story. Framing spidy. Sorta like the 90s series. Then Peter has different photos that say other wise and then eddie loses job and hates peter.

I just wanted to say that I don't think Sandman looks like he's protecting his "daughter" if that's who it is (and I'm not saying it isn't) from Venom. Looks more like the Authorities to me. I still say someone's setting him up to be a patsy for the Uncle Ben murder....and we just don't know who that could be yet! Things that make you say Hmm!
