Mysterio would be the best bet. He could really play mind games with everyone and create a different challenge for spidey than what we've seen. They could really do up the spidey-sense thing too, which has practically no real role in the other movies.

That is a horrible poll! No Lizard? No nobody! You barely gave anyone any choices. I personally would like to have the Lizard and the Vulture in SM4. No one has ever seen an old man fight and young guy well! Plus, the Lizard and Vulture are in two completly different environments, which means trouble will happen no matter where Spidey goes.

Why doesn't anybody understand the fact that VENOM WILL NOT BE IN ANOTHER SPIDER-MAN MOVIE. Venom is not coming back for SM4. They will not use the same villain twice. I would kinda like to see Kraven and Mysterio, but I don't think they will have Kraven w/o Chameleon. I can see Mysterio happening if the rumors about a Quentin Beck cameo in SM3, but their probably not. Lizard is a shoe-in if Raimi stays.

they used magneto three times in X-men! well... those movies sucked so I guess they shouldn't. But I think Eddie Brock should live in spiderman 3.

In spider-man 4, there is some other villain-- lizard or whatever. In the meantime, cletus goes to jail. At the very end of the movie, eddie comes back to being venom, and carnage is created, making a three way battle-spidey vs. venom. vs. carnage.

I'm getting each time more sick about this. and you did not got the point. most of you see Carnage just like a superhardcore assassin serial killer from horror movie. if they made Venom and Sandman more "humans", they can do the same with Carnage. and I said Carnage just for the final battle, to give the story an awesome final fight against the strongest Spidey villain and end the movie franchise with gold key. he doesn't need the entire movie.

this is the concret prove that they can use Carnage if they really want. there will be a new goblin now, and the people are satisfied with this. this goblin is different from the first one, I know, but he have glider, bombs, strengh and insanity. the same way the New Goblin is the son of the first goblin, the red symbiote is the son of the black symbiote. see the plot? and the same way New Goblin is different from the Green Goblin, Carnage is different from Venom...actually...even more. he is stronger, can make weapons and is insane. the perfect villain for a perfect final fight for a perfect end. so, if they did something like...hmmm...how you say...?..."use they same villain twice" with Goblin, they can do this with the symbiote, which can have a totally different story. I can write a half page yet...but...for now...I'm trying to make you understand this.

That is what I said! Jick08 seems to disagree with us then. If we are going to see Carnage at all, it'll be in an R-rated Venom spin-off movie. An R-rating would kill a Spider-Man movie because of the range of age groups that like it. Not only would the youngsters be cut out, there dads and moms would be too because the parents dont go to many movies w/o their kids. At least my parents didn't.

How am I being childish? I just saying that it has been clearly stated by Raimi that Harry is not GG2 or Hobgoblin or a goblin at all but an entirely new character. Now back on to the real topic here, I think Carnage is not a good choice for a villain not only because he is a repeat character, but because there are much better choices available, even if he is just for the last fight. It would be a complete copy of the ending of SM3 with a red suit instead of a black one. You know, Venom is kinda only in the last fight of SM3 to ahhh...how did you say it? End the movie with 'Gold key' or whatever.

Yeah, Carnage would be scarier than anything imaginable for little kids and some young teens. You know that team would do a very good job w/ Carnage and would get the movie an R-rating.

And at the end Carnage and Venom team up to kill spider man. it would be the fina lbattle. and maybe there on the top of the empire state building or somethin. that would be cool. And All the new yorkers are on the ground watchin them. If spidy wins he'll have all that admiraition he had in sm3 beginning back. if he loses. New yorkers can kiss there freedom goodbye! So it would be the battle that decides it all!

It pisses me off though, cause the cover is very misleading. It's actually spiderman and venom vs carnage, not venom and carnage vs spider-man.

Lizard would be the best for Sm4. We have him as a good guy in 2 movies, and then he is a bad guy in 4!And t hey don'thave to go through introducing him and getting used to him. I couldn't agree more. I wanna see the creative team do as many new villains as possible. I just can't stop dreaming of what the villains would look like in live action. I mean, everytime a read a comic or look at a picture I'm like hmmm... now if they did this with this....yada yada yada.

I just can't get my head around the possibility of them putting Carnage in a Spider-Man movie. Especially because they used Venom. I just think that if we will ever see Carnage, it'll be in a Venom spin-off.(Which, at this point, is highly unlikely). I'm a Stan Lee fan, and I see them going with Lizard (like most of us say) and one of the following:

1. Vulture
2. Scorpion
3. Electro
4. Kraven the Hunter
5. Mysterio
6. The Rhino

My vote would go for the top 2. The rest are in no particular order.

If Sony sees how popular Carnage is, they might find a way. They will have to do it "Alfred Hitchcock" style though, like when Doc Ock rampages in the ER hospital scene. Note, I'm not saying this would be a good idea, but I didn't think introducing Venom in 3 was a good idea either, but it's what's happening whether I like it or not.
Therefore, I think Carnage is a distinct possibility, but it would be more sensible if he was the villain of a Venom spin-off movie. It gives more deserving villains some screentime vs Spider-Man while still satisfying the producers of the Marvel movies and the fans who want to see Venom vs Carnage.
I stand by my choices of Hydro-Man for opening villain, Lizard, Chameleon, and Kraven the Hunter for SM4. I also stand by my idea of having an opening villain for every movie in the future, kicking off the movies James Bond style.
