Several people have been stating that they would love to see Venom in one of the sequels. However, I think most of us are in agreement that the whole Secret Wars origin is much too complicated to be included in a movie. This being said, how would you treat the origin of the alien coustume for a movie treatment?

First off, for a movie I wouldn't have Spider-Man with the Black suit ever. Maybe start off the movie with Peter watching the news and they mention a meteor that crashed into a town nearby. Then while patrolling like Spidey does, Venom attacks him. They fight, Spidey realizes he can't beat Venom so he somehow escapes. After the fight Eddie Brock starts sorta stalking Peter(Peter does a mini-flashback of when he met Eddie) and Peter gets freaked out. Then in the second meeting of Spidey and Venom, Venom explains how he's an alien that was on the meteorite and Eddie was the first to the scene and it attached himself to Eddie. Eddie didn't like Spider-Man so that's why it made him like Venom. As for Venom knowing Spidey's identity, he could have been hiding on a wall or something and watched Peter change into Spider-Man. Not sure how to explain getting away from the Spider-Sense, maybe it's just a trait of the alien or something.

Well, that's my story, let me know what you think.

Hmmm....to have the Spidey Blak suit or not to have the Spidey black suit. Hmmm, I think I'll hve to lean on the side of to have it here. I mean, how else are you going to explain why Venom dosn't sense off Parker's spider-sense? that's just plain crazy. Also, the suit was an importantera in the Spidey sage. So the Spidey Black suit should stay.

Now...how does he get it...

Does anyone remeber the Spider-Man cartoon of the 90's? What am I saying, of course you all do! You're spidey fans! Anyway, remeber the storyline where he got the suit? A space shuttle (the one containing JJJ's son) was coming back from a mission and they were bringing back this wierd rock thy found in space. The rock turns out to be the symbiote and attacks the pilots causing it to crash on the Brokly Bridge and Spidey shows up to save the day (man, could you imagine how awesome of a scene that would be on the big screen?). He finds the symbiote and bada bing bada boom. You have your self an alien costume.

Then about midway in the film Reed Richards cn make a cameo and help Spidey rid himself of the thing (know that he knows it is evil). It hen somehow ends up with Eddie and he becomes Venom then goes after Parker.

Now isn't that a simple solution?

I still say they don't "need" to go into the whole "how the symbiote got to earth and bonded with Eddie" bit.

The way they could have the story go is:

At the beginning of the movie, we follow Peter as he's out swinging. There have been some recent sightings of a Spider-man like thing with a black costume. Flashback of when he fought in the Beyonder's world. Of how he aquired the suit. Blah, blah, blah....

A little later we meet Venom and Eddie. Flashback of when Spider-man humiliated Eddie. After the flashback, Venom goes out looking for Spidey again, roughing up some hoodlems who where getting into mischief nearby... HEH!

A little later still, we could have a confrontation between the two, and that is when we get the final piece of the story's puzzle: How Peter got rid of the Costume when it was bonded to him. (the bells).

That's all they need to do. It was done with Batman in Batman Forever (we didn't get the whole "how Two-Face was created bit. He was already there.)

And speaking of the Batman movies, if they can have 2 or 3 villains in the same movie, why can't they do the same for Spidey's sequel??

Imagine Peter squaring off against Venom AND Doctor Octopus!!! =)

Wouldn't it be nice to see Venom full-on gut some bad guy just for the fact that he does it in the comics? And how about old Mr. Carnage? Rated R anyone?

This whole flashback thing sucks. Flashback this and flashback that is just annoing. And putting Venom in the sequels... well, i don't know if this is a good idea if they change whole script of comics. And besides, any of you don't were dissapointed if the secret wars were JUST a five minute flashback of Pete?
And sorry for the mistakes on my text. I'm Polish.

Not only was the black suit not an important era, it was also a big mistake. The Secret Wars story is easily one of the worst-written pieces of tripe out there On top of that, it kicked off the annua Marvell tradition of launching a yearly cross-over series in an attempt to suck more and more money out of comic readers.
I gues if they have to use Venom, Spidon's idea wouldn't be too bad; nix the whole idea of Spider-Man in the black suit and give Venom a new, less-stupid origin. Here is one case where not being faithful to the comic would be a good idea.

Bad idea. The Batman movies are not an example to follow.
Most of the Batman movie villains were butchered in those movies. It's a lot more interesting if they concentrate on a single villain at a time.

if venom does come in the movie, which he probably will, his costume would have to be computer generated. that would be so cool.
