michael jackson should compose a song of Spiderman for this movie. that would be so cool. did you guys know that michael jackson is re-joining the Jackson five (his brothers). has anyone heard History Remix and Blood on the dance floor remix. IT ROCKS ! download them from http://www/audiogalaxy.com/ . this site has all the songs. first you have to create an account, then download the satellite for searching songs. then you can get ANY song at all. i think this is better than napster. though the system is the same, the new things are real cool, like if a person is offline, it searches for other users who have the same song.

Even though a lot of people make fun of Micheal Jackson(myself included, just for his looks) I think he's a great artist.
May sound strange coming from a 16 year old, but I like oldies music(50s, 60s, 70s) and I like the Jackson 5.
I do think Micheal might have done some of his better work before he turned white....but he's still doing music and still making hits, so it's cool. Thriller is my favorite music video, just pissed I can't find it to download online, and stations like MTV and VH1 never play the whole video when they do their "Top 20 videos of all time" or whatever.

NO OFFENSE , MICHEAL JACKSON IS A GREAT ARTIST,BUT I DON'T KNOW. SOMETHING ABOUT HIM JUST DOESN'T SAY "SPIDERMAN" TO ME. BUT HEY, WE ALL ARE HERE FOR OUR OWN OPINION RIGHT?

I dont think Spidey has ever mentioned just what kinda music it is he likes. Am i wrong here? Does Spidey have a taste in music??

Lets be real folks.

What Michael Jackson song could possibly be in The Spider-Man Movie!?! Dont get me wrong, I like Mike (he's nuts but hey if I had all the mullah he had I'd lose a few more marbles myself) but his music would NOT fit this movie and I think it would cause damage to the film. Can you IMAGINE a little after Peter's Uncle Ben dies Peter looks in a mirror and starts meditating on what his Uncle Ben taught him; "With GREAT POWER...Comes GREAT RESPONSIBILITY" they start playing Michael Jacksons "Man In The Mirror"???!

" I'm Gonna Make A Change...For Once In My Life
Its Gonna Feel Real Good (Gonna Make A Difference)
Gonna Make It Rigggghhhht"

come on.....

Just to make sure you understand, I never said I wanted Mike in the soundtrack, I'm opposed to it actually. I just stated that I like Mike!

His tastes and whatnot are always gonna change, but I think it was in an early issue of Spider-Man (the one Tod McFairlane started) that he mentioned liking Elvis Costello. MJ was kinda bugging him about his taste in music or something like that.

Spidon

Well, if your going for the Peter of the 90s/00s then it'd be the rock/punk stuff. Examples are Weezer, Blink182, etc.
Back in the 60s, I'm sure Peter had a very different liking of music...

I have a Spidey comic from 1979 and it shows Mary jane looking through Pete's record collection and you can see an Aretha Franklin record. There's a hint to Spidey's liking of music(from the 70s anyway...).

this movie is going to be a matrix type , that is, Superhero with superhuman strength and fast movements and running and fighting. so the music will most likely be the same. maybe metallica, or limp bizkit by a long shot. maybe eminem but thats most unlikely. michael jackson just got back in with the jackson 5, his borthers, so maybe the Jackson 5 will sing for this movie. maybe the sad parts, like when his uncle ben dies.

KaineDamo

Elvis Costello? Eurethra Franklin? COOL!! They should give some hints as to what he likes these days. Also, they should say what food he likes, what tv he likes (recently i think he said something about the letterman show, whatever that is) and so on.

Michael Jackson: Music, good. Looks, bad.

In Ultimate Spider-Man he apparently likes Pizza because when his Aunt May tells him they're having Meatloaf for dinner he says "Pizza?" But then, he's 15, what teenager doesn't like pizza, espescially if you grew up watching TMNT(If you don't know what that means, then you don't deserve to know).

altanhaider
08-05-2001, 11:06 PM
my name is Altan Haider, my screen name is altanhaider, i never found out what my name means, not even in brittanica, although it said altan was a mongolian warrior along time ago, he lived at the times of Genghis Khan, Altan was a smaller chief than Genghis but they were on the same side. Altan took his warriors over the great wall and had surrounded Peking, China's Capital. But Genghis ordered him to retreat. (i dont know why he didnt let me capture Peking, that woulda been cool, at least i crossed the great wall, lol ) . but i dont know the meaning of the name.

Great idea! But they should have Stevie Wonder dressed up as Spideys next door neighbor "Mr. Winkles". I definitely think that will boost Stevies record sales up to platinum status and make the whole world a better place. Thank you!

One of the great things about most superhero comics, is that the writers incorporate so much personality into their characters. It is wonderful to find out what the man behind the powers is like.

I don't know if it is done puposefully, but most of the things you know about Peter Parker, or most superheros for that matter, are things that are "timeless." If you think about the things we know about him -- he goes to school, he likes a girl, he's picked on by bullies, he's bitten by a spider, his uncle is killed by a thief, etc, etc -- most of these are events that happen today, and could have happened 300 years ago.

Sure, there are exceptions. 300 years ago he probably wouldn't have developed mechanical web shooters, but the point is that the comic is, for the most part, timeless. Most attempts to introduce something new and "modern" have failed -- such as Spiderman's car. The sign of a good retelling of the story (such as USM) is when they don't introduce new concepts to the core character.

Yes, he will be in a modern high school, and I am sure we will hear modern music. However, to integrate Peter's taste in music into the story ends up "cementing" the story in today's time period, making the story seem old and outdated 20 years from now.

He was created in the 60's, so if he DOES have any favorite musicians, it's probably Elvis or The Beach Boys. Actually, I think it would be funny if Sam had Peter make a reference to his real favorite music:

"Peter," Mary Jane asked, "do you want to go to the Blink 182 concert next Friday?"

"I don't know, Mary Jane. I really prefer the oldies. There's something about the 60's that really appeals to me. Perhaps we can just stay home and listen to my Elvis records?"

Heh heh

I don't really like it when they play any songs in comic book movies, I prefer it just to have the scores during the movie and when they play songs it has to really fit. Micheal Jackson doesn't fit Spidey nether does Dido even though I like Jackson 5 and Dido they don't mix with our hero

If you are only 16...you are beyond your years, fellow...!

I'm impressed to hear someone 11 years my junior appreciating Michael Jackson's music. When I was in 5th grade (c. 1984) I was a hardcore MJ fan. Nowadays, I don't even have a single song of his on CD. But I do like some of his more modern music, though. I liked the original "Smooth Criminal", and whatever group does that remake of it does a kickin' tribute to it.

As for Michael, I agree with you Spidon - keep him no where near the soundtrack! And as far as my personal opinion of of him:

I think he's a freak, weirdo, etc. who couldn't accept his "roots", and has done more surgery to try and make himself look different than anyone in history (that's a guess) without changing sexes. I look at pictures of him that appear on yahoo and ask, "Does he think he looks good like that?" His face looks more plastic than the Sergeant Slaughter G.I.Joe figure I still have (somewhere at home). I honestly wonder if he thinks to himself, "What have I done? Those **** doctors...!"

Rock on Spidon...hope you enjoy the movie...you sound like a true fan and 'true beleiver'.

I feel so flattered now....Thanks jspider. I've said it before, I'm like a 25 year old in a 16 year old's body. I like all music, 30s(big band, zoot suit stuff)-current. I like things that no one else my age likes, probably why I'm sort of an outcast. But oh well, what can you do?

The guys femine, but who cares, wer'e not judging his manliness. Wer'e judging his talent. His face is hideous. However think about this. When we watch brittney spears, we are only watching it because she is hot. When we watch MJ, we are watching cool dance choreography with cool music, it doesn't matter what his face looks like unless your checking him out. Whether he's *** or straight doesn't matter either, unless your checking him out. I'm not *** so I'm not checking him out therefore that stuff doesn't matter to me. Does it matter to you? Did you know, that when MJ made black or white, the end of the video ended up causing controversy because of excessive crotch grabbing. He said he was immitatin madonna's masturbation video. I like Michael music and his videos, but the end of black or white had way way way too much crotch grabbing. It wasn't like his usual grabbing, it was creepy.

No I never saw it, but I heard it got deleted or something. But I accept it anyways, I'm sorry too. We never really any reason to argue anyways, we don't even know each other. It's all good. Bygones be bygones. Funny how we were both arguing, and then apologizing, over believing different things ain't it? Maybe if the whole world could forgive and forget, like we did, atheists included, there'd be more peace. I never approve of atheists making fun of christians. I even put my friend in his place for doing so. A lot of them are pretty good people, like the christian charity fund. 90 cents of every dollar goes straight to the kids that need it. Unlike most charities where only 5 cents goes to helping them. I do plan to donate to the christian charity fund.
P.S you should check out Ghosts. It's 45 minutes long, with 3 songs, and the coolest dance choreography ever!
