The New Spider-man Cartoon Finally Desighs for Characters

I really like how Spidey and Peter look. I'm glad they aren't making Peter such a nerd post spider-bite.

Harry looks alright although he kind of looks much older than Peter.

Not a big fan of Eddie's character design. He looks more like Flash. He has that "big stupid jock" look.

And Gwen looks really bad. Not as nerdy as those fake designs but gez she looks more like a nerd than Peter!

All that was missing when it comes to supporting characters was Aunt May and MJ. After seeing Gwen's design though I'm really curious as to what MJ's design looks like.

Here are my thoughts:

SPIDER-MAN: Pretty much the same.

PETER PARKER: Kinda gives off an Ultimate feel, which is pretty good. Is that a webshooter on his arm?

HARRY OSBORN: Yes! The Osborn haircut is back!

EDDIE BROCK: Looks too much like Flash, and we know he's in the series too. We couldn't get the Ultimate version here? Let's just hope Venom has a good design.

GWEN STACY: Get rid of the glasses or call her Debra Whitman.

DR. CONNORS: Nice robot arm.

JAMESON: Looks pretty good, but what's with the pocket watch?

Although I do like Spider-man and Harry's looks, I'm disappointed.

It could be just that I'm a classic fan, but Peter doesn't look like a nerd, nor does he have the glasses to even give the hint that he is. I am most disappointed in his looks. Gwen's look is a close second though. After all, she was the gorgeous girl who was sweet and kind in the original comics, not a total bookworm, which is what Peter should look like. I didn't really mind Doc Conners and Eddie Brock though.

Peter should look like a nerd BEFORE the spider bite but after it Peter kind of ditched the glasses and the dorky look. After the spider bite he looked like an average kid which IMO his character design looks like. His geekiness after the spider bite is still there but is seen through his intelligence and when he talks about science like it's really exciting.

I agree about Gwen though. She shouldn't look like a nerd at all. But my guess is that they are going to make MJ the "knockout" of the show.

Well, if he does look like a total nerd before the bite, then I'll be satisfied, but I would like to see him still dressed a bit like a nerd after the bite. After all, I spent nearly my whole school life dressed like a nerd... I even had the pile of books I would carry around :D
