While watching the movie you could hit the PrintScreen button, then open Paint or Photoshop and paste the image there.

"This Letter is to the Spider-man fans to give me the inspiration for making Director’s Cut DVD."
(Sam Rami)

To: Sam Rami/Sony Pictures
To Sam Rami,

Having seen spider-man 3, after eagerly awaiting the movie since 1+2, I was particularly disappointed with limitations to character portrayal and development, which came from a packed plotline and limited run-time. I felt that the movie missed out in significant areas in which the much-loved characters were unable to be shown dynamically because of a tight run-time schedule.

I am aware that with pressure to include everything in a run-time that suited a theatrical release for children, pressure to achieve a good box-office that would pay back the high budget as well as pressures from Sony who were financing the picture, a lot of material was necessarily cut out in order to meet demand.

The resulting cinematic release was astounding. The action sequences were brilliant, and the plot development was handled well considering the intense pressure that come with such a hotly contested summer movie season. However, now that those pressures have all subsided (The Box Office figures speak for themselves) the DVD release can hopefully be considered without financial issues affecting the picture.

As a massive fan of both the characters and the franchise, I would love to see any material that couldn’t make the final theatrical cut of the movie, especially material that developed the characters and the plot. Characters which I feel were affected by a tight run-time were: Sandman, Venom and Eddie Brock as well as Gwen Stacy.

Material compiled into an altered 'Director's Cut' would be of great interest to fans of Spider-man, as well as the rest of the very secure market for the Spider-man 3 standard cut. The cut would be profitable, and will give you, the director, and a chance to alter any problems, which may have arisen from studio/budgeting/run-time/release date pressures. It would also be a fantastic opportunity to add in any material from the rest of the trilogy that might have been unused previously.

Whether you wish to/are given the opportunity to release a Director’s Cut to the movie, I’d like to offer my greatest thanks and praise to the brilliant interpretation of a favorite character and the fantastic 3 films you have directed.

Sincerely,

Spider-man Fans from across the World
