I know posting this question on THE SPIDER-MAN BOARDS is probably stupid.

Fresh and rotten are terms from http://www.rottentomatoes.com whitch collects all the reviews and sums them up. Below 60% is rotten on there.

And I recently looked into this again:

Batman(Tim Burton): Fresh with critics
Batman Returns: Fresh with critics
Batman Forever: Rotten

Superman: Fresh
Superman II:Fresh
Superman III:Rotten

X-Men: Fresh
X-Men 2: Fresh
X-Men 3: Rotten

Spider-Man: Fresh
Spider-Man 2: Fresh
Spider-Man 3: Fresh

And I don't agree with all this but I DO think that Spider-Man has atleast for the moment managed to generate the best trilogy. Now King-Kong and other Batman-Fans here: Don't hit me with THE NEW BATMAN WILL BE BETER. Cause it's batman's second attempt at making a 3-film-fresh movie. And for first times Spidey has done the best.

Anyone disagree?

Spidey 3 not good as the rest. So I would give it a rotten.

Ok then sure I'll give you that. But what (first) trilogy is the best. Spidey or another?

why rotten
on the site fresh means it was just better than 60%

Spider-Man 3 is the rotten apple to me. And it shouldn't have been. All those other trilogy movies listed had changes in actors or directors or both.

Spidey maintained the same cast and director for Spider-Man 3, and it turned out ****.

Heres hoping Chris Nolan's Batman movies will break the curse.

did you vote no? Out of interrest buddy don't worry. We're all hoping he breaks the curse. But as I said: This is Batmans second attempt. Spidey had his first. I do think the Spidey trilogy didn't go as wrong as Batman forever did for example

Yes, I voted no. Because X-Men 1 and 2, Batman and Batman Returns, Superman 1 and 2, are all good movies. Just like Spider-Man 1 and 2. It's just part 3 of these franchises that suck.

I did'n't think X3 was that bad.

They killed Cyclops after 2 minutes of screen time. Juggernaut was a retard. Rogue and Mystique got cured. The Phoenix had hardly any lines for the whole movie. Angel was pointless.

Magneto and Beast were the only good things about that movie, IMO.

i say the spidey films aren't THE best trilogy. not saying the superman films are, even though i love superman III.

F346
02-25-2008, 01:15 PM
then which one is it?

Sandman50407
02-25-2008, 01:20 PM
none of them. i love certain, in the case of spidey films, movies like 1 and 3.

in the case of superman, i know everyone,, hates III, but i love it.

in batman's case, love the first one and batman forever. batman begins was pretty cool and i do not like TDK so far. never have.

sm3... the worse spiderman (not my opinion... yours)

xmen3... bad

blade3... 2 was better

superman3...

batman forever...

yeah its really hard to go three movies without screwing everything up

the only good third movies are
Return of the King
Return of the Jedi
Indiana Jones 3

thats all i can think of

I basicly agree. Those are the superhero movies (along with Supes I suppose) who managed to make 2 without trouble. And then go wrong. But like my friend Sandman said: I don't dislike Supes 3 actually, I prefer it to 2

Cyclops is my favorite x man. I want a spinoff on him and Jean Grey. The xmen films only focus on wolverine. The wolverine spinoff won't be any different from the xmen films.

they said that there'll be a lot of spin-offs after Wolverine, but the big most will come direct to DVD.
the only characters that probably will get their own movies are Deadpool and Magneto.

No way is the spider-man series the best superhero trilogy. SM1 and 2 were meh and sm3 was a huge embarrassment.

Batman and batman returns are superior
superman and superman 2 are sperior
x-men and x-men 2 are superior.

Hell, all 3rd films upto now for comic book movies tend to suck but sm3 really took the cake with their embarrassing third entry.

However, with the way some properties are shaping up, it wont be long before we have a handful of great comic book trilogies and the Nolan Batman films looks set to be the first to achieve this, assuming Nolan and Bale do a third movie which is pretty much guranteed.
