What do you think will make Spidey loose the suit?

In the Comic: He found out it was alive.
In the ASM: He realized relized that it almost made him kill Shocker.
In the Movie: He freaked out for attacking MJ.

I want to see them try to do a real Peter Parker story on how the suit is affecting his behavior and the people around him who care for him, and what will make him decide to get rid of it. Maybe Gwen will finally tell him how she feels? What's also going to be interesting is what Eddie's breaking point will be that will make him want Pete dead. One thing's for sure, the show truly is spectacular.

I totally agree. No villain for this one. Peter is his own worst enemy here.

Gwen telling him the truth and Peter blowing her off because of the suit would really work well.
Oh! And if she goes crying to Eddie about it that might push him over the edge! It's one thing for Pete to be clueless, but a whole other thing for him to break her heart like that.

Then Eddie will confront Peter, Peter will puch Eddie into a wall, realize what he's doing, get rid of the suit, it'll grab onto Eddie, trasforming him into Venom at the peak of his anger!!! :venom:

I would like to see him realize that the symbiote is starting to try to take over him. I don't think that's something we've seen. It goes together with his personality changing from it.

Dude, that's one of the best things about the suit. And it's become part of the symbiote storyline. Besides, they've already confirmed he'll act more agressive.

Well, that was different.

Peter wasn't affected in the comics after wearing the suit for about 2 MONTHS. That's because he had a calm personality and a composure with his feelings. Eddie however, was kinda a psycho who hated everyone, and actually wanted Spidey to die. The way I see it, the symbiote only influences those with corrupt hearts.

The only reason I'm not into the symbiote-peronality thing is because they said they're trying to stay as original to the comics as possible. Other than that, I like that they're going to show some character development. I just don't want them to make us hate Peter.

I love this show! I like how they're using more than one episode to develop the symbiote (and for the green goblin episodes before as well). And they just had Aunt May have a heart attack so Pete is definitely going through some dark times this episode. Venom's talking is so awesome too. The internal struggle is being depicted really well. I hope the episode is exactly what the commercial promotes.

Either way is fine. :) I would sort of like it better as the first season. But if it were all one, then they have to wait until the Fall part is over to release it on DVD and Blu-ray Disc. So in a way it's better. :D

This whole symbiote arc has been better than Spider-Man 3.Well this is a cartoon series which means it has more time to introduce things. Unlike a 2 hours and 10 minute or so movie does! Unless they plan three movies before making them and have all the scripts made. Laura Ziskin said it's difficult for them, because unlike like the Lord of the Rings series or series based on books, where they can adapt from a book or books, they don't have that. You know? They have now 40+ years of comic history. And in the films, they're 20-30 years into that history for the films!

yeah i think peter and eddie will just grow more cold towards eachother in the next episode, and when eddie sees pete is spider-man, he wont forgive pete, but be even angrier to see pete stole the symbiote from connors. this is good development for venom, especially adding in their parents accident and prior relationship.

for peter, i think he will start off paniced about aunt may and realizing the symbiote is bad. but we knows it is helping him win battles. he decides to keep the suit no matter the consequences, even after dr. connors tells him how angerous the suit is. peter pisses of gwen or mj, causing them to ask what he has become, and peter realizes that he has been totally irresponisble for his actions. he goes to the church to take off the suit and venom is born.

for this edisode, i would like to see a flashback to either the parker/brock plane crash, or of uncle ben's death, and the power/responsiblity speech. both would fit well in the episode, and both have to be explained at some point.

it really fits at this part, because he realizes that the suit may give him power, but he also gives up responsibilties when he is wearing it. also, with no villian in the episode, it would be a good way to take up 5 minutes.

I saw when Spider-Man (under conscienceness of the symbiote) grabbed Shocker's glove and went haywire for a second from the sonic waves.

Another interesting hint was at the end of the episode when Peter became aware of the suit using his body, yet decided to keep it. He said "What do we care. The Six were put down hard. Parker gets paid for the photos." He used "we" referring to him and the symbiote as one, as well as referring to himself in the third person, "Parker." This shows signs of the Venom rising within him, which is both exciting yet unnerving. I love these tid bits.

When he takes off the costume...i think it knows that hes taking it off temporarily and that hes not going to abandon it... It's like his disturbing 'pet'. Maybe it has some psychic connection with peter so that even if its not bonded to him, it still affects his perspectives and mood. So when he does go to the bell tower to seperate himself from it ( i 'm assuming he will) it knows that its being rid of. It's an alien so who knows what 'powers' it could have so that it doesn't have to be physically bonded to him. But I honestly have no clue...just BSing....only the writers could answer this I suppose.

In the original comic, Peter did take the costume off every night and didn't think of it as anything, but a costume.

The symbiote didn't try to completely bond with him until it found out Pete was going to get rid of it.

In this cartoon, Peter may think that the alien has only bonded to his suit, but it's really bonded to him.

So his suit does end up all black with a huge white spider on the front. I'm surprised nobody said anything about how his webs don't come from the opposite side of his wrist with the black suit like the comic does. This episode is gonna be awesome and i can't wait. He did take it off dude. It was under his bed in "Group Therapy."

Look, so we don't start off this whole argument, let me fill you guys in about the way they're doing the symbiote. This is almost exactly what they did in the comics. When Spider-Man first got it in Secret Wars, he was in his original suit, and after that, the symbiote could transform into any clothes that Peter wanted. But Peter did take it off when he slept (and other things too) but while he slept it would slip on to him and control his body just like we saw in "Group Therapy" and Peter would awake still feeling exhausted.

There's your history lesson. Class dismissed.

I loved this episode. They showed Peter attacking Brock in rage, Eddie's life being ruined by spidey and peter, The symbiote showing peters origins, and the birth of Venom. Can't wait till next week.

As for the episode... I liked the orgin part of the episode. It was somewhat well done but I really felt this episode had a choppy-feel to it. The animation didn't seem great either and the camera shots just seemed really quick to embrace any of the sentimental scenes. I guess compacting a story into a 22min show wasnt that helpful. I know that the spider-man orgin was supposed to flashing before the viewers eyes, but it felt really choppy. Although, I liked how they're developing the symbiote, and the character relationships... especially brock's hatred (it seemed the symbiote just selected and showed the memories of pete that perceived pete/spiderman as a jerk).

The episode was fantastic. This show has by far the best origin for Brock than any show or comic or movie. He actually has a good and understanding reason to hate Peter and Spider-Man, unlike the other origins where he's angry and whining at Spidey when it's his own fault for what happens to him. Peter's origin was good, even though having too much of the movie inserted into it. But overall it was a great episode. The preview for next week looks amazing. Too bad it's the season finale.

This show once again didn't fail to surprise me.

I'm with ya! The origin was done very well! I've read the original Amazing Fantasy #15 and I was very happy to see them being so true to the original comic.

OMG! I actually believe that Eddie hates Petey and Spidey. I think that that's the first time that's happened. AWESOME!

There's nothing to hesitate bashing, Venom's reason to hate Spider-Man sucks in almost every continuity. The best reasons come from SSM and Ultimate Spider-Man.

Dude, it was awesome.
Peter is starting to change for the worse. Eddie is madder than ever because without the alien symbiote, the lab that he works in can't keep him because their fundng was cut for losing it. he goes to confront peter about it and Peter ends up throwing him against the wall. He soon realizes the suit is starting to change him and goes to the church to take it off but the symbiote won't let him go so easy. The symbiote encases him inside itself and brings him back to his past, more specific, the day he gets bitten by the spider. They show him turning into Spidey, fighting at the wrestling match, uncle Bens killer stealing the money and Peter letting him pass in the elevator, uncle Ben's death, and the confrontation between Spidey and the killer. Eventualy uncle Ben's spirit helps Spiderman escape from the symbiote's hold on him. Once Spidey is free he takes the symbiote back to the lab and tries to kill it but Eddie is there and first mistakes Spidey bringing the symbiote back which means his job is back but then sees him trying to kill it by freezing it. Spiderman leaves thinking the symbiote is dead but he comes back to life and convinces Eddies to bond with it to defeat Spiderman. He agrees and the symbiote shows him everything it knows, including Spidey's identidy. Then they bond and Venom is born! And that's pretty much the basis! lol but it's great! They have a LOT of movie references!

I just wanna say that the way they introduced The Symbiote and all The Venom Story is simply PERFECT! Heck, it's even better than in the Comics! GOOD WORK to everyone who worked on the storylines of this Show and Congratulations! If only SM3 had a story about the Symbiote half as good as the one in Spectacular..*keeps dreaming*..

The just should've made created a better design of the characters, it kinda looks childish, but The Show makes up for that in every other way (Storyline, Action etc.)!

9/10 for it Overall!
