This is definately the best SM tv show thus far. The 90's was good fun, but this show has some awesome little moments that actually make you feel. The action is great as well. I still say the best hand to hand combat was in Episode 3. The next is a toss up between the last episode with the Goblin and the Rhino.

I'm not sure. I think that (if they don't do a "to be continued") he will escape. I'm sure that they know a lot of spidey fans want more of Venom. Besides, if they bring Carnage into the second season (if) then they'll want Venom so all three can have a big fight.

Well that's how he meets Kletus Casady AKA Carnage. Maybe Spidey will seperate Eddie from the symbiote, the symbiote will escape and then Eddie will be sent to Jail. He'll meet Kletus and sometime in the second season, the symbiote will come and somehow bond with both of them therefore creating Venom again and Carnage. That's how I see him returning with Carnage close behind! :D

Well I respect your opinion, didn't mean to offend. But about the fight taking place at day I don't think that should affect the quality of the episode. Sure it's more dramatic taking place at night, so I expect a night fight as well. I personally don't mind with a day fight taking place first.

That's just gonna be his intro. Spidey will finally be feeling better after what happened at the Church and then...BAM! Venom attacks! :venom:

Venom will then stock him and threaten his family.

Then (Hopefully at night) Spidey and Venom will have thier big showdown.

Well obviously he won't be completely out of Peter's life. I'm simply meaning that when he leaves the series for a while Peter will reletively not worry about him for the time being. But I'm positive the writers won't write him out for good.

I honestly don't want many if not any more things taken from the movies. When you reuse great moments from the movies and put it into the show, it taints it in my opinion. Like the MTV show that took so much from the movie anf reused it, it really didn't work in those moments.

So I don't expect and really hope there's lines from the ending of the movies to be included in the show. They pretty much rewrote most of the origin of Spider-Man 1 into the show, which didn't exactly work for me.

carnage comes in later in the series, so eddie will not go to prison yet. i think that eddie will fake his death and then return in the 2nd or 3rd season with clues leading up to his appearance, then explain how he survived when he returns. i think pete will move on from the eddie brock/venom expirience because, unless venom returns early in the 2nd season, the storyline cannot dwell on a passed villian.

two things i want from this episode other then great action/ stalking from venom:

1. peter and gwen finalize their feelings for eachother.
2. some sort of teaser for season 2 or development with an upcoming villian (preferably green goblin)

yes, this is the nevr ending post but i also have 2 questions to pose:

1. will tombstone be angry at spidey for not coming through on his deal?
2. will the venom spidey fight be public, or will it be out of the spotlight... will the city be involved or endangered?

this should leave everyone with a lot to respond to...

carnage comes in later in the series, so eddie will not go to prison yet. i think that eddie will fake his death and then return in the 2nd or 3rd season with clues leading up to his appearance, then explain how he survived when he returns. i think pete will move on from the eddie brock/venom expirience because, unless venom returns early in the 2nd season, the storyline cannot dwell on a passed villian.

two things i want from this episode other then great action/ stalking from venom:

1. peter and gwen finalize their feelings for eachother.
2. some sort of teaser for season 2 or development with an upcoming villian (preferably green goblin)

yes, this is the nevr ending post but i also have 2 questions to pose:

1. will tombstone be angry at spidey for not coming through on his deal?

2. will the venom spidey fight be public, or will it be out of the spotlight... will the city be involved or endangered?

this should leave everyone with a lot to respond to...

Spider-man is going to be awesome.

I believe that after Venom reveals himself, he's going to threaten Peter's family, Peter will defeat him, Venom will be inprisioned (for now), and then the Big Man will say something at the end about his new plans to take down Spider-man.

I hope that Gwen tells Peter about her feelings. They can't make us wait another whole season for that!

Anyway, I really loved this episdoe! It's the only episode I've seen in week when it first airs on tv.

I'm so happy when I saw that they took the last Venom scene from TASM #317! That was my first comic from TASM series, and it's the best Venom issue I've read thus far! You know where the symbiote comes off Eddie and goes back to Peter. That part. They change a little bit, but it's taken from that issue. It's actually is the second battle that Venom and Spidey have. I know he battles him some, I think, in #316. But #317 is the best. It took that long for Venom to come back after #299 and #300.

I also liked the very last part of the episode. I thought it was a good way to end the first season and finally maybe start something with Peter and Gwen. I think issues #121-122 may be in play for the end of next season. In some way I'd like to see how they do that! But on the other hand, I don't want it to happen. :( Hopefully, just to have a little more with Peter and Gwen, if they do have them date and stuff, it won't happen until season 3. But I do sadly see it happening in S2.

I wonder how they'll have Harry come back.

How do you think the symbiote will get out of the concrete? I mean it's in a bag and in concrete. There must be some battle that will happen. Or Eddie will some how try to get it.

I think there will be a battle with a goblin. Which means when the goblin, whoever it may be, throw a bomb it helps the symbiote get out! :D Which means Peter is once again, doomed!

I think sometime maybe near the end of the second season, a fight will destroy the concrete letting the symbiote out without Peter realizing it. It's obviously gonna come back. Two reasons why I know this: From the interview on Mayday's site, they said Venom is coming back. And it's too obvious that it's coming back because he hid it in the concrete. He could have easily destroyed it a number of other ways. Those are my thoughts on that subject! lol

OMG great season finale! loved the animation and character relationships! And for once a cartoon felt like a season finale.

Yay gwen kissed peter...finally! I loved the storyboarding. Just watching gwen's feet go down the steps and then turn back was really great to watch. she's so innocent and the kiss shot was great too! peter's stunned and gwens silently walks away. Cue for season 2!
and why did peter dump the symbiote in concrete? it's obviously going to come back...he should of done what every super hero does... throw it in space (somehow -_-). And I wish they included a scene where not only does pete take the symbiote away, but he should of taken eddie back to his room and said, "good night bro..." or "get some sleep bro" instead of just leaving him there on a roof. i can see peter still seeing eddie as a friend, because he knows firsthand how the symbiote can manipulate you. Plus it would've been nice to show spider-man actually speaking to eddie (just like when spider-man jumps away without telling eddie anything in the connor's llab)

anyway, i can't wait until season 2. I wonder if the characters designs will gradually change over their school years? and also this season only covered peter's months from end of summer to november? not much of a full school year.

I can see that being one of the conflicts as it is the usual superhero dilemma. pete will probably date gwen before realizing that she may be in danger because of his alter ego. i can see tombstone maybe later on becoming interested in revealing spiderman's identity and thus putting a risk on the people he cares about.

This season was beautiful. I loved it. I was all anxious, holding my breath because I didn't want Gwen to die. I've read the comics, but this show does an interesting job of keeping you on your toes without changing the story up offensive ways. At first people were anxious for Gwen to get killed so Mary Jane could step in, but honestly, I think her character is great. I"ll mourn her death when( if ever) it does come, and hope that the develop Mary Jane's character to be a suitable replacement (which they're already beginning to do). Best Episode: # 13.

man, Venom pwned and spanked Spidey more than any other villain. it was the best fight of the season. even better than the S6 fight.
and, once again, Spidey couldn't defeat Venom by fighting.
I'm glad that they got him right. his voice is awesome, his moves are awesome, his visual is awesome.
Rhino was my favorite villain in this show...until this episode. what a great finale.
but................the Venom from the 90's series is still the best Venom. he was more menacing and tormented Spidey in every way.

In my opinion Venom in Spectacular was a lot better than TAS Venom. Well of course I'd say that becuase I like everything about Spectacular better than TAS.

in connecticut we get the episodes on sunday, so i taped it and watched it just an hour ago. wow! the fight scenes were great and they set venom up to be a constant menace to spidey. venom was creepy and he showed his evil, but at the same time there is room for him to turn more and more vicious towards spidey, and have more interesting storylines later on. also, the thanksgiving theme, and peter and gwen's relationship made this episode good on a personal level.

in my opinion, if you see this episode and intervention as a 2 parter, which i do, then it is definatly the best so far. the episodes were very closely related and they complimented eachother nicely. however, i think seperatly this episode is the best of the season, but it has many competitors.

yes, but venom will be returning in season 2 to haunt spidey again. venom has just been introduced in this season. when venom returns he will be able to have a larger effect on peter's psyche, and he will be scarier and more of a threat.

I truly hope not.I doubt it. The paople that handle this show are really smart. They handled the symbiote story extremely well and they didn't overuse any of the other more popular villans like Ock and Gobby. I'm sure they'll handle Venom just the same.

I hardly doubt that any villains will have even the chance to be overused. With only 13 eps per season (so far) and only one episode for villain (usually) than it really doesn't even give them much time. I think its great that they're getting a second time to work with these villains because hopefully they're doing these episodes with previous villains to develop and establish them more.

My worries are that the reoccurring villains will return only to do some diabolical crime with absolutely no motive. The show, 'the batman' often had villains return just to commit their crime of the week. It was often just one antic after another and it didn't really develop the humanistic characteristics about the villains in 'the batman' which made it lack emotion or convey any depth from the characters.

the extended robbery was just the show showing off on their great action scenes. and jacobs, i definatly agree that they need to have interesting stories to go with the villians. in season one, every villian had a valid reason for doing what they did, and none of the villians seemed like a stretch. i hope they keep it up.
