No Offense...I absolutely love Marvel and all their comics, but what were they thinking? They have recently made all their fantastic comics into a group of movies! It totally estroyed everyone's thoughts about the comics and left some people annoyed at Marvel for giving them the movie rights. I only hope Spider-Man isn't as bad as some other comics made into movies, because it has always been my favourite comic, and I know it's alot of other peoples. Post with what you think about Marvel's desicion to release the movie rights

I for one...and I am pretty sure I speak for everyone here...Am psyched they released the rights...
I am finally gonna get to see a big budget...big screen...big premiere...movie version of my favorite character of all time!
There is that little gnawing in my guts that is hoping they dont ruin it...but it is not enough to make me want them to not make it at all.

Till Hulk is a paid endorser for Valium....

i don't know why, i've never really liked any comic movies i've seen but for some reason i really feel spider-man is going to be the stepping stone of what a comic film should be.

raimi looks good so far. i mean, i think its a miracle sony didnt demand spidey's costume be altered [ and tobey actually doesnt look like a doofus like christopher reeves did ].

I happen to love the fact, that a couple of comic based movies were recently successful enough (Blade, X-Men) to get Hollywood interested in bringing more of our childhood heros to life on the big screen. I think it's going to be a good thing for the whole industry, and bring in a whole wave of new fans.

Hey potty chick, didn't you like The Matrix? The best comic movie I've seen yet, in my opinion (although, technically, it's not based on a previous comic). I thought X-Men was pretty good too.

I don't really like Spam.

I just saw For Love of the Game last night, and I didn't realize it was directed by Sam Raimi until the credit rolled onto the screen. I paid special attention to character development and interaction, and I was impressed. It was a pretty good movie. I hope that Sam brings the same sort of personal interaction to Spiderman. If he does, it should be a good flick.

Caffeine most definitely makes me edgy.

Christopher Reeve looked like a doofus because he was supposed to look like a doofus. It's part of his "disguise," along with those amazing glasses. Peter is supposed to look like a shy geek, and he does. The idea is to contrast the superhero identity with the "real" person. Nobody would believe that Parker was Spiderman.

Just what the heck is a hot cross bun anyway?

A hot cross bun is a glazed bun with currants in , and then a cross on it. You get them at Easter time. Tsk, if it does not have maple syrup on you Americans have no idea!!!!! Joking!!!!!!!!!

Sam Raimi also did The Gift and that rocks!!!!!

Well, I don't see whats wrong with ANY of the superhero/comic book movies.
X-Men, Blade, Superman and, heck, even Batman (with Michael Keaton, not Val Kilmer...what an @$$hole) are great.
Granted, Punisher was stupid, and so are the new Batman films with George Clooney and Val Kilmer (I still cannot stress how much of an @$$hole he is), but most of the others are clean harmless entertainment.
As for Christopher Reeves looking like a dork as Superman, that was years ago, when some things were non-existant(eg. Fashion Sense)
By the way, The Phantom was **** as well.
