Ok but SW II had more help due to its opening worldwide as opposed to Spidey only opened in the US in the first two weeks. No way you can compare the numbers. Not a fair comparison.

You guys are also forgetting that Spide set a record for having the highest box office total in it's 3rd week of release with 40+ million. That in itself is unheard of. Spidey only lost a 38% of it's audience from the previous week, which is another record. Spidey will be giving a serious run at 600 million when this is all said and done for domestic sales.

You guys are talkling Spidey's 3rd weekend and SW first. Of course SW is going to beat Spidey since Spidey's been out 3 weeks and everyone has seen it, but in the end Spidey did better it's first weekend than SW. DUH!

You can't compare Spiderman's 3rd weekend with the StarWars opening weekend! If you compare 1st with 1st or 3rd with 3rd you will see that Spiderman has SW beat every time. I liked StarWars...but I liked Spiderman more. Anyone can see who the winner is here.
