Who are your favorite writers and pencilers of the Spiderman character?
I have not really been a big fan since Mcfarlane
did Spiderman over 10 years ago.
Although Bendis is pretty good as the writer on Ultimate Spiderman.I think McFarlane was the best Spidey writer and artist ever!Maybe he'll take up Joe Quesada's (chief at Marvel) challenge and write and pen a new Spidey book. Let's all say a prayer and maybe it'll happen.
And say one for the stunt men on the Spidey Movie too.Ouch! You know that had to hurt when that stuntman broke his leg.

Have you read ASM #30? J. Michael Strazinsky is turning the title from cliche **** to a great idea! I recently thought of cancelling the series, but after reading that issue, I'm here to stay!!!

I love all the old classic Spidey artists for the way they all put their own personal styles to work. But I especially admire Steve Ditko for being the originator of the Spider-man costume that has endured almost 40 years now. Thank God, Sam Raimi decided to stick to a version close to the original for the movie.

As far as current Spidey artists...........I love what Mark Bagley and Art Thibert are doing with the "Ultimate Spiderman" title so much, that I have already purchased over thirty pages of the original art.

It's STEVE DITKO,the better of all the drawer of Spider-man,better than Romita sr,better than Gil Kane, better than all,he is THE KING of the human face, the emperor of the real movement, the only one who is near to reach the level is Mark Bagley (the only problem is the feet) and Bagley is the only one drawer who understand the real hair cut of Osborn that Ditko would shown.

Mcfalrane? best writer...he's good...but when he was drawing "amazing", the stories were starting to drop, being boring...the "spiderman" title he wrote and drew was good, it was not great, especially after collecting Spawn for a few years, i'm glad he left marvel.....reminds me of John Bynre, was good,,then !BOOM!...not so great....
both John Romita's, Ron Frenz, MASTER Ditko..Gil Kane and various others made spidey very enjoyable
