How many spider-man comic books do you have? I have close to 200. Also what is the most expensive spider-man comic book you have? My most expensive comic is the first appearance of the alien symboite.

i have around three- five hundred. at least half of my collection is spidey-oriented. the most valuable one i have is either ASM #300 , which is CGC graded at 9, or my ultimate spidr-man #1 (DF cover). i saw on ebay that they actually had amazing fantasy #15 CGC graded at 7.5 for $1500! i wish i wasn't poor...:(

I have a complete run of all the Spiderman titles.........so my Amazing Spiderman #1 is my most valuable comic.

In addition to comics, I've collected a lot of the original art from Ultimate Spiderman, by Mark Bagley and Art Thibert. I'm hopin' that stuff is going to be like gold someday!

you suck, fancydan!! you have the freakin' collection of my dreams. for a guy who must have some money to throw around i'll give you this, you have good taste! and yeah, that original artwork should be enough to buy you a corvette(used) in about five to ten years. i am now green with envy as i imagine your collection. i'm guessing you did mean THE amazing spider-man #1, right?

Yeah, that's THE Amazing Spiderman #1. Biggest thing missing in my collection is Amazing Fantasy #15......the first appearance of Spidey and his supporting cast.

My piece I'm proudest of in the US-M original art is the page that Peter gets bit by the spider in issue #1. I'd be curious what some other collector would be willing to pay for that one after only being around for a little over three years!

I also selectively snatched up the pages of first appearances of the popular villians. Like the Sandman finally just got his big debut just recently..........but I own the page he first appeared on back in issue #17.

I have a collection but it's embarassing compared to you guys, I didn't start collecting til I was about 4, back in 1984, so go figure, I do have some good ones though.

I did not collect when young (born 1965), but would get them and at least read them in grocery store while mom shopped. The looks I would get for reading (whew). But mom liked they were quite inexpensive to occasionally make me happy. I did collect in Army 1983 to 86 and after, had friends there that read Marvel with decent selections. I have a nephew that I get all USM for, he takes excellent care of them (he is 10) covers and boards. I would like to spend time in Fancydan's library. Comic stores in area have let me see AMAZ 15 and other selects though. You want to know how many comics there are visit

I only recently started reading comic books. So you want to talk about embarrassing? I only have the most recent Amazing Spider-Man titles. I'm talking like #'s 51-58. I can't wait to get issue #500.

has anyone else noticed that ,on almost every shot of the cover ,the prowler is colored incorrectly? he's red on the cover,but he's purple and green in the comics. have they finally fixed that?
