I know. Marvel has a full list. I do too, all the way to the end of April, and comics that should come out in May. I just don't want to give three months worth of comic release dates all at once. On the first of every month someone can just make a new list for that month. Look at the the list for the rest of February I posted, I don't want anything too long. If I posted three months worth, that list will be six times longer.

Only one listed that I read is Amazing Spider-man. I do not like the deal made with Loki in the previous issue. I wonder if Strange and/or Thor will become involved?

The other I am looking forward to is Ultimate Fantastic Four #3 also due out February 25. This one should be the accident that changes Grimm, Reed, the Storms, and Doom. The Mole-man has also already appeared.

In the comic world, don't you think that the others (Richards, Storms, and Grimm) would guess that their buddy (named DOOM) is gonna turn out bad? With a name like Doom, it's hard to be a pediatrician or something nice.

Sooner or later someone is going to need results either good or bad. "I'm sorry you will have to discuss that with Dr Doom" is not the best response irregardless of the results status.

ultimate carnage is showing up in issue 60. i hope its not a horrible storyline like ultimate venom. i mean that storyline just blowed. oh and does anyone here read 1602?

Yeah, what's 1602? I only read Spider-Man comics (Amazing, Ultimate and Spectacular). I am not too much of a comic fanatic. I don't buy all those superhero comics and read them all. I just stick to one hero.

I'm really looking forward to Ultimate Carnage. Bagley's drawings are amazing, and I just hope the story is as well.

1602 is a mini-series that's out right now. it's 8 issues i think.. theres one issue left to come out. well anyways um its just the marvel universe taking place in 1602 put its not suppose to be happening back in that year. well i dont really wanna such much else for those of you who are planning on reading it sometime. ive also heard that the conclusion of this series is gonna have an effect on the normal marvel universe.

written by NEIL GAIMAN (the sandman), and art by ANDY KUBERT (amazing artist).
i wish this series were longer than 8 issues. i love this book.
i hope neil gaiman does another project for marvel soon, he does wonders (or should i say marvels?)
anyways, just my contribution.

We don't have comics in this country so I'm forced to order mine from amazon.co.uk thus I only can read graphic novels and I read Amazing, Ultimate and Peter Parker.
I have to say that Amazing is far more better written then the other two and I can relate to Peter's character more in there. I'm 18 and if I was at least a couple of year younger I would choose Ultimate as my first favorite and close my eyes on the messy stuff that accrued in recent releases of the title.
Peter Parker is my least favorite. Some of the stories are good but they don't feel connected and it doesn't seem that they are progressing to a bigger story like the other two. Just a bunch of fine written separate stories.

Just picked up UFF 3 and current ASM.

Ultimate Fantastic Four had aftermath of accident causing FF to get powers.

ASM was finale of Loki and Spider-man confronting Morwen.

My questions:

UFF - Was recalculations on device done by Victor Doom, Moleman, or both?

ASM - What are the usual conditions of a favor from Loki?

so maybe gwen will become carnage now since she knows peter is spider-man? and that scene where ock pulls out peter's tooth and then shuts him up with his own web shooter is crazzy. haha i can't wait till 58!!!!

Wow. That is definetly different. I mean in comparison ultimate Gwen has been butchered. Capt.Stacy was a well established character only in Ult.Spidey to die in what 3-4 issues? Might as well shake up the usual status quo. Plus, she might be Carnage. I hope Bendis isn't cutting down everything in Gwen's life to make her easily expendible. I say Mj should die instead.

It is really irritating, because I am subscribed to Ult. Spider-man, but I get it a 5 days late everytime. I see it in the local comic shop, and I have to keep myself from picking it up and reading it.

The hardest part is not picking the comic up[ at the comic shop. The covers are so good that it is hard not to pick them up.

i have absolutley no idea how the origin or carnage is gonna be. i read somewhere that bendis said that venom would come back into ultimate spiderman but not any time soon. so im guessing carnage will have a different origin. i hope bendis does a better job on carnage then on venom. personally i think the ultimate venom story line just sucked!! i love ultimate spider-man, its me favorite, next to amazing, but seriously i though the ult. venom storyline was the worst.

well im not a big fan of bendis, myself. but thier are a lot of bendis fans... i mean A LOT, and that has allowed bendis to become like a god at marvel.
personally i didnt like the venom storyline either. it started out alright, but ended way too soon and quick. another thing, everything that happened COULD of been written in like 2 or 3 issues instead of 5 or 6, or whatever it was.
i like the symbiot origion better.

although i do have the first issue of that venom arc autographed by bendis. so im glad hes popular, becasue already that is an expensive book.

USM 57 - Not happy with the Gwen situation. Hopeful that she will at least not be Carnage. Wasn't Kletus shown on a computer screen earlier? On the Ock storyline, that is going well though.

For background the FF is not as popular as usual due to recent events. The comic opens with Johnny Storm over hearing a Howard Stern radio broadcast discussing 'The Human Torch'. Johnny then walks by a store with FF merchandise on clearance, and new Spider-man plush toys in the window.....

Hilarious issue for Spider-man and FF fans alike. Especially when Johnny Storm goes to Spider-man for advise. Here is a sample you will need to see how it comes to be said: Spider-man "How did you live this long?".

Well if you haven't seen the issue, I hope I peaked some interest for you.

Got to say I really like the Marvel Knights take on the FF. It's called 4 and the story is wolf at the door. The latest issue was great. I don't want to give anything away but it was really emotional. Very good.

On Carnage there is also to be a Dr Connor link isn't there? Though he also should not be Carnage. Was Dr Connor in on the Venom origin with Eddie in USM?

Yeah Dr. Connors was there when Peter tried to destroy the last of the suit...he also figured out that Peter was Spider-Man...could be an interesting choice, but the original is still WAY better.

So far his name is Victor Van Damme. Everyone is considerably younger. He was working with Reed and his modifications to the machine they were working on created the blast that gave the ult.FF their powers.I think they were messing with the Negative Zone. No sign of Vic since the blast.

well the last issue of ult. 6 finally came out today.. and it the words of jj.. "****, ****, ****, MEGA ****." oh my gosh this has to be the worst story bendis has ever written for the ultimate universe. i mean seriosuly.. this series was pointless! nothing happened! NOTHING! combining all 7 issues there was like what.. maybe 1 issue of action. the rest was pure ****. i mean seriously.. how the hell are you gonna come out with a series thats beraly hanging in.. wait like 3 months to come out with the final issue.. and have the last issue suck the most! bendis i am soo disappointed in you. it was ****. the ending couldn't have sucked more.

Haven't read it yet man but I got to say I wasn't happy with this arc to start with. A five parter on the set of the movie? Then,Ock knows Peter is Spidey and Gwen knowing to boot. Just seemed like more hype for the movie.

USM 1 October 2000 Peter was 15.

If you consider one or two comics per month the series never moved in real time. ASM was 40+ years ago to start, if in real time Peter would be 50+.

Considering pacing, I think someone would take drivers ed over the summer. But I have no actual listing. I was hoping Peter's age would be mentioned in ASM 500, but I still can't place it in that series either.

Just got Ultimate FF #5.

Very good issue, Johnny, Ben and Reed got to play heroes. Well Ben and Reed did. Ben was hilarious "Probably could have thought that through a little more" was one of his many great lines.

Ya know............I really love this book, just like most anything that Bendis writes. But I'm really having a tough time with the amount of people he's let in on the whole secret identity thing! I mean, what the hell's he thinking????

As for Gwen becoming Carnage........I seriously hope not. I know Bendis has been dropping hints in columns that it's going to be her, but that's just got to be a smokescreen. She needs to be there for love triangle reasons, right?

My money is on someone like Mary Jane's father, or Flash Thompson to become Carnage.

Took me awhile but I just read Ult.FF 5 and Marvel Knights FF 4 too. Ult 5 was good. About time the pace picked up. It seemed to drag in the middle.

alright so this issue was ALRIGHT i guess. i really thought it was gonna be like that auny may issue (46 i think i'm not sure) where it would just be based on a character talking about how they feel, in this case being gwen, but it was absolutley nothing like that. stupid a*s gwen finally got it through her head spider-man didnt kill her father. so anyways peter tells gwen he didnt kill her fahter.. aunt may gets home.. gwen runs outta the basement. blah blah blah peter goes to the dentitst cuz of his tooth and aunt may notices.. hes asleep an mj comes over so he tells her gwen knows.. gwen walks in.. says shes sorry and belives him.. and therye all happy. and the last thing is ock is in shield custody and he is shown with nick fury and fury tells him to watch as he dumps his arms into some sort of lava i guess. ehh.. it was an ok issue. a pretty cheap ending to this arc.. especially since gwen found out. well good news is it doesnt like shes gonna be carnage..thanks god!!

Well.......I just got through reading Ultimate Spidey 59 and I'm left with nothing that makes me feel like Gwen Stacy is going to become Ultimate Carnage.

In fact, Bendis has pretty much extinguished any underlying annomosity that may have existed with Gwen within a matter of a couple of pages. Pretty well done in my opinion.

So now the question still exists.........who's the prime candidate for becoming Carnage from the existing cast of characters??

I'm still placing my two-dollar wager on either Flash Thompson or Mary Jane's father.

My comic store makes a profile for every regular customer and creates a "pull list" for all of them. So every Wednesday (new comic day), he goes down the list and pulls everyone a copy from their list and sets them aside. Very accomodating and convenient.

He also gives 15% discounts off of the cover price to the regulars with his pull list program.

The Avengers are going to be going through some hard times when someone from their past comes back and a member dies. Spidey helps out but is going through some spider -like changes as he's tries to help.

Every title i read appears to do well in the monthly sells figures. So i would think cancelling would be throwing money away. What did Wizard say, and base the decision on?

I agree. According to the mag it's based on the numbers. Ultimate:Xmen,FF,Spidey,Ultimates have been in the top 10 list.That has crushed the regular Marvel titles. I personally feared this. Honestly I know many feel different but that is the kind of thinking why the first movie wasn't as enjoyable to me. As said in the book it seemed as if a wrecking ball is being taken to classic continuity. Ultimate Spidey, is according to the mag,easily accessible,continuity free-plot and fully developed characters. Stan Lee has also said he liked the Ultimate Six story and wrote marvel a letter praising it. Quoted"we are trying to make something that worked for 40 years work the next 40 years."

Did you read the latest issue of the Wizard? Sounds like Ultimate Carnage is going to be some kind of clone experiment done by Curt Connors with Peter Parkers blood / DNA.

Still don't know who actually becomes Carnage, but there will be a character intoduced named "Ben Rielly". I don't know what his origin is, but he's appearently no relation to the Parker's because he's african-american.

Rielly is the first person to discover that Dr. Connor's "experiment" has escaped from the labratory in the panels I read from a preview of USM #62.

The thing is that Ultimate titles are outselling the originals. Much like when Dc would alternate characters month to month. The newer revamped versions would sell more copies. We all know the 80's changed that. But with new young readers that want a book they can relate to, Ultimate is becoming the norm to kids. Maybe polls don't mean much but they are sayin pretty much that Ultimate is the more relatable comic to kids.

I got the new Wizard, and read that article, that made me mad! If they ever got rid of the original Marvel Universe, I would go...and kill them all. Okay not really, but i would get really mad! Although Ultimate Spider-Man is the only one I subscribe to, but i'm gonna start subscribing to both Amazing Spider-Man, and Ultimate Spider-Man. And what's the point of the Marvel Age comics? Why does Marvel feel the need to restart Spider-Man every other month? First, they did Spider-Man: Chapter One, then Ultimate Spider-man, then Marvel Age Spider-Man, What are they gonna do next? Why not just reprint the originals as singal issues like they did in the early 90's? Remember? It was called Classic Spider-Man?

Amazing really should outsell Ultimate but some kids today like the updated slang and changed stories. I enjoy too to a degree but I think taking from what has already happened before Bendis is speeding things along a little too quick and when there is a lull there it's a BIG lull in the story. Well Carnage is like a clone of Peter, And the Hobgoblin is probably gonna be harry, doesn't Harry know Peter is Spider-Man? Maybe with Straczynski's new ASM story he'll bring in some new readers. Becuase your right, ASM should sell more than USM. Now I know why DC didn't do an Ultimate series. Did anone get that Wizard issue where they remade the DC heroes into Ultimate form? it was cool.

Yeah I though the Batman looked the coolest. But,yeah if you keep making updated versions and the audience enjoys them more than the original what do you think is going to happen eventually,y'know? Did you get the newest Wizard where they discuss this? It's like it's already been thought of.

It's really different in the Ultimate title,Webrina. carnage is made by Conners experimenting with a drop of Peter's blood and it changes into Carnage. No alien story at all. Not even with Ultimate Venom.

It's Ultimate Spiderman - entirely different from the original, so they're given "artistic leave", if you will.
