I don't know about you guys but I would be disapointed if my favorite villin does not make an apperance in this film. But who knows maybe he will be in the next movie because I can already tell that the fans are going to want more of Spider-Man.

There are so many villains, and so much back-story, Venom is gonna haveta wait. Actually Kirsten would have made an excellent Gwen Stacy! I mean, c'mon, wasn't GG responsible for the deaths of both Gwen and her dad?!!!

Doc Oc, the Sandman, and my personal favorite, the Lizard are gonna have to come before ol' schiz-o alien Venom-lips!

Couldn't they have gotten an actual red-head for MJ's part?
And Kirsten Dunst? Sheesh! I can't see her doing it. Angelina Jolie maybe, but she's too tall for midget Tobey. :>
They should've gotten the girl who played Darcy in Drive Me Crazy to play MJ.
I think she would've pulled it off much better.
But then again, they probably already filmed stuff with Kirsten, huh?

VENOM IS THE BEST! I THINK HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A VILLIAN. A backstory should be like an experiment with a black substance and it escapes just like seperation anxiety.

You know, I've always felt that they should have began the Spider-man movie series with the Kingpin ... after all, he has always been the one at the top of the criminal food chain in the comic book. A good choice for the role would have been a beefed-up Robert DeNero. Oh well ... there's always Spider-man 2!

By the way, it's kind of a good thing that James Cameron didn't produce & direct it after all ... I heard that his first choice to play Spidey was Leonardo Decaprio (BLLLEEEECH!!)

i can tell you now that the filmakers already talked about the next movie and that is a good chance we will see two more spidey movies (if they don't tear this one to shredsd)

Of course Mary Jane is going to be in the movie. They are not going to put Gwen Stacy in the origin. Maybe in a sequel, sure, but not now. I also believe Venom would be a great add-in

I seriously doubt that you'll ever see Venom.Why write a story about 2 characters with the same powers.If venom ever did appear in a spidey film ,I dont think the origin would be, Via Secret Wars.

I'd rather they never did venom if they go changeing stuff just to get him in there. Its to complex, and it would be too stupid to make some cheesy idea up just to get him in there.

Venom is a really good and complex character, and the relationship between the symbiote, brock, and Pete would take abit to explain. Nope, its not gonna happen right.

If they could do it right, it would rock the house, but if they can't do it correctly then I say, don't do it at all. They could screw the whole thing up that way.

Dont forget a few obscure characters that would give much more fan appeal. Shocker, Hobgoblin, Rhino, Mysterio and Molten Man just to name a few.

I think there are so many villians that useing such a over played villan like Venom would be a waste of history. Venom is a OK villan, but Kraven or Mysterio would be much more interesting.

I don't know about the whole "starring in the eyes" thing. Sounds a little mellowdramatic to me. ;)

I prefer the villains I grew up with,Mysterio,Rhino,Kraven. I have been a fan since I saw the animated series which I think was in the '60s or '70s. Then I started reading the comic books in 79, and haven't stopped since.

I agree that Venom should be cast( or at least the symbiote Spidy costum, where the name comes from) but it would take Spider-Man 2-10 toget the symbiote story, disposal of, and Eddie geting a hold of the Venom Symbiote

i don't think he should be in the movie.. cause that would be pushing it all together.. maybe at the end they can somehow put in the shuttle going to space and show that he will be in the next one otherwise this will be one long movie.. not that i would complain about it

i definitely agree that Venom sholud be in the movie. He is the coolest abd the greatest villain of them all. One of my favourites.
