With all of the great music out there, why do the soundtracks stink so bad? I just read an article about the Spider-man 2 soundtrack, yuck! Why can they get The Ramones version of Spider-man?

Welcome to the site NEWBE. I hope you visit more often. I happend to like the one song on there. We all don't know how well it will sound. I hate Maddona's songs but ON DIE ANOTHER DAY......it was the best on she had in years though I don't like her others. I like the DIE' Sondtrack becuase it had alot from the movie with scenes..........the backrond music is awesome give Spidey's a chance.

I think Danny Elfman did a fantastic job on the score of the first film. I'm talking about the "music inspired by" and such. I honestly thought Sam Raimi would insist the songs weren’t so watered-down. That Chad Kroeger song Hero? <holding back a puke burp...> Aerosmith? - There's keeping up with a timely artist! The Sum41 song - not so good. I'm just saying, besides the songs by The Hives and The Strokes, the songs on the first soundtrack were so mediocre, they probably were rejected from the artists’ real albums... Now I read an article saying Dashboard Confessional is doing a song? No doubt another dripping ballad like all of their other songs. Hoobastank - come on! Can't they get more creative than that? Jet - COOL, probably the only shining light on it. I hope the Distillers do the Spider-man theme justice. They might just pull it off. I hate sounding like suck a complainer, but I LOVE Spider-man. I've read his comics for over 25 years now. The movies rock! I just wish I could get a kickin' soundtrack too. They should get John Digweed to do a song like he did on the MTV Animated cartoon! Oh well. It's probably just me...
