The only thing I like about the clone saga was Ben's Spider-Man suit. That's my favorite Spider-Man suit. The thumb, index, and pinky fingers were the spider webs with more blue. and he had the bigger spider symbol and webshooters on the outside of his costume. I just love that suit.

Ok, my rambling will stop now

The best costume in my opinion is the Scarlet Spider costume. It just looks really cool with the hood and all even though Ben probably made it in 5 minutes from the only clothes he had. And even though the hood almost got him killed, the costume is pretty cool.

Maybe in 10 years there could be tv movie series about it on USA but not in the movies.

The clone saga was the worst piece of ****, clones are useless. I hope they don't add any clones in the future spidey movies

I wasn't to keen on the Clone mess either but I did like the Ben Riley character. If they would have stayed with the Jackal just making one clone I could have handeled that, but Total Cloneage is out. And while I'm at it...let's get back to some good old comic books, no more soap operas, drawn out sagas and bad guys that don't die! Let's have some comics where the good guy beats the bad guy at the end of the same issue, and if the bad guy falls off a mega story building why can't he die? Shurely another evil slob can be dreampt up for the good guy to put away. No wonder comic book sales droped off! Let's put the FUN back in Funnies again. It has gotten so serious that it is no longer an escape,... lighten up.

You-all must not have actually read the entire clone saga. And the thing that nobody gets is that Ben Rielly (Spider-man's clone) risked his own life for EVERYONE he ever tried to save... which in the end, killed him. The original Spider-man (Peter Parker) didn't risk his life for anyone, he actuallty didn't sve many people (including his clone Ben). If you follow the entire story of Spider-man, you'll see that. It's NOT like that in ALL parts in the story, but it is in MOST. If you read all of the Spider-man stories, you'll find Spider-man (Peter Parker) making many mistakes, but his clone never made as many mistakes when he was playing the role of Spider-man (although at times he was less exciting and less believable during his adventures).

I thought Ben was the real deal and Peter was the clone.
Or was Peter the real deal and Ben the clone.
Or was Ben the clone and Peter the clone and Spidercide the real deal?
Or was Peter and Ben the real deal and Aunt May the clone?
Or was Peter, Ben, Aunt May, and MJ all clones and Jackel was really Spiderman?
Or was Jackel and Peter brothers who combined DNA with MJ to make Ben?

You get my point.

Till stem cell research figures this all out

I liked the clone saga because of all its mystery. There was, of course, the question of who was the real Peter Parker. That on its own got everyone confussed. But then, there was the question of who the hell is Scrier? Then, there was the question of who was the mysterious figure in Kaine's visions where he saw MJ being killed. And, who was Gaunt? AND, who is the mysterious employer that Gaunt kept referring to? You get my point. Plenty of mystery. Then it turns out Norman Osborn was behind the whole thing. How many people saw that coming?

But now that i've read a fair amount of the older comics, i can see why alot of you didn't like the clone saga. You didn't like the idea of the main character being a fake of the real hero who was somewhere else the whole time. But, in my opinion, the clone saga provided some of the best storys and characters for me. But, maybe thats because the clone saga was the first thing i read from the Spider-Man comics. Some of the characters were pretty kick ***. Look at 'em;

Ben Reilly- Clone of Spider-Man, only thing that makes the two of them seperate individuals is the 4 years that Ben took on the road earning different experiences than Pete,

Kaine- What Spider-Man could be like if he finally went insane. Throw in a majer twist of the usual powers and the degeneration thing.

Grim Hunter- Remember that guy? Wasn't he cool?!?!

Um, thats all i can think of at the moment. This post is a bit long anyway, and i think everyone else has left this topic alone so i'll be lucky if anyone even reads this. Ah well, that was a waste of the last 15 minutes or so of my life.

If Spidey ever have a clone perhaps that would be MORE POWERFUL and Enhanced than him.

I started collecting the comics during Ben's run and I liked him, maybe having only him would be ok as there was the main confusion between Peter and him in the comics, as long as they don't kill off an enemy a movie like the Batman ones it'd make sence...

The clone saga could have been cool, but the writers had to screw with everything to make the fan boys happy because they didn't want Peter Parker to turn out to be a clone. I mean, I would have been cool with it, but I did kinda miss out, i was like 10 at the time, and couldn't really get comics often, but anyway, stop whining you fan boys, the writers wouldn't get hired if they were just going to write ****, they write **** to make it up to the fan boys when they try to do something original.
