When you think about the extensive plot lines that construct the world of the web slinger, it would not be difficult to think of about a zillion stories that don't suck for a spider man TV show, right? I mean, if Viper and all of those other ****py shows oculd get produced, why not Spider-Man the series? (Just keep it out of the hands of Spelling entertainment) The hardest part would be the special effects, but I think that the majority of people would be willing to watch a plot heavy show about Peter Parker. Or am I deluding myself?

While it sounds like an awesome idea, I think it would be difficult to have the degree of special effects and quality on a weekly show. The cost would be astronomical, and I think something would be lost in doing such a project on the type of budgets available for weekly series.

I'd much rather hold out for continued releases of Spiderman movies done the right way, even if I have to wait a couple years between each release. The overall quality of a movie over a tv show is well worth it, I think.

The movie is too awesome to want to see it turned into a less than perfect image just to put it on network TV with all those inane commercials.

Just my thought

I definitely agree there. They did have a live action T.V. series already back in the 70's, but it floundered and only got to about 4 episodes.(A few are sold on tape still though). It was not very well written, but it had decent action. I would like the Spiderman series, if there were to be one, to follow more of a "Lois and Clark" approach. Focus a little more on Peter's relationships and the emotions and troubles in putting on the costume every day, and still have action, just don't dominate the show with special effects and flying kicks.

I agree, the 70's series was poorly written, & the costume was worse than poor. I've seen the artwork for the new one & I must say that I love it.
