I really think taht it could work. Just think about it... The whole story, since 1940's 'till the 90's. It could be the only movie capable of showing a lot of heroes, almost everyone in the marvel universe. It could work if it had a decent and beleivable cast of actors, a very good director and a great screenplay based on the story Marvels by kurt busiek. I can imagine a publicity line : "What if you lived in a world where superheroes were REAL?" Drop a line or two about it thanks

I'm sure most everyone who read Marvels had that idea cross their minds at one time or another. It's fun and easy to envision it with Alex Ross' paintings, but can you imagine the logistics of a movie project like that? First of all, casting all.... ALL the superheroes accurately, the make up and costumes departments working round-the-clock, not to mention the overtime put in from the special effects dept., and the cost (anybody have Bill Gate's number?) Besides, they (the movie makers) would not only be dealing with people who've read Marvels, but EVERYONE! Most of whom have never even picked up a comic book in their lives. Try explaining each character in the marvel universe to the majority of movie goers in two hours, AND have them follow the story at the same time. Let's stick to introducing one character (or group of characters, ie. X-Men) at a time.

Then again, if done correctly, one could probably get away with a trilogy showing some 6 or 7 characters per film. Food for thought (...hmmmmmm.....)

But what do I know!
