As for the black "Venom" costume, aside from being out of the continuity of the story (Venom has no place in Spider-Man's origin), I think it's too dull a costume; it's not busy enough for a feature film, and most people identify with the web-head's classic red & blue duds. Besides, far too many movie super heroes change their costume's colors to black these days, whether it's X-Men's black leather or Batman's black rubber/kevlar (although, it works in his case.)

I think in this one he'll be only wearing red and blue, but I bet in the sequel (sp?) he'll be wearing the black one..........that is all for now

From what rumors I've heard, there will be two variations on the classic blue and red. The one we see in the trailer and a more "home made" looking costume that Peter uses when he enters the wrestling match.

I was wondering if they did use the black costume in the sequel then wouldn't they have to state its origin first?

Telling the story of the alien costume would be a good move for the sequel. Perhaps Venom could become the main villian of that movie as a result.

If he wears more than one costume fine...anyways if he is going to be classic then they have to do better than the costume they had on toby maguire in the spider-man trailer...that was horrbile...also for all of you black is the best and none could make it look as good as spider-man although i think that they should leave out the symbiote for a sequel...

I've seen the trailor and i think the costume kicks *****. As for the black costume, I would like to see the symbiote in the sequel but not Venom. I would like to see the symbiote turn bad in a third movie
