WHY WHY FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY. Why in there right minds would they cancel it. OMG that is crazy talk. Maybe something happened a death in family of the business, I dunno, but WHY?????????????????

Because they didn't know how to put episodes in order/write the episodes properly to begin with, is my guess.

Surely, there is some site we can go to to find out for sure, one way or the other.

actually, that was solely mtv's fault. they played them in teh wrong order for some reason.
but the reason it got cancelled is this. they aimed this show for mature audiences, however they made the mistake of airing the show friday nights at 10pm. well, what person, age 16, and older, is home on a friday night? not that many ppl. so not a lot of people watched the show because of this. also, they played 2 episodes a night (another dumb marketing plan) so after about not even 2 months, every episode was shown, and the people that DID watch the show were already getting sick of watching the same thing every friday night, or got interested in new things. thats why they cancelled the show, and thats why mtv doesnt want to pick it up any more.
or maybe its the americans didnt like the canadian animaters (thats right, mainframe is a canadian company :) )

I didn't point blame towards anyone in particular.
Curious enough, some of the episodes were written well, and some of them I only watched because it was Spiderman. :P

I forgot all about them. I only saw one or two. How much does the DVD cost?
well, in canada is was around $40 (quite expensive), i dunno what it is in the states, but probably works out to be the same after the conversion rate (i dunno what it is right now) maybe around $30?
anyways, i watched all episodes, and believe me... the last two episodes make the whole purchase worth it (if you still arnt sold on the other episodes).
good action, great story and a classic spidey in these 2 episodes.
i say buy it if you like spider-man, and consider it if you liked the movie.

$40 Canadian? That's quite steep - how many discs is it, and are there any extras or whatnot?

as well as making of, a pop-up video type thing... umm... its got lots of stuff on it. trust me tho, whatever you pay, its worth it.

I thought the new Spider-man was one of the best movies I've seen... ever I guess. There was a great balance between the vision of the writers and the integrity of the comic. I think they really stayed true to the character of Spider-man and showed why he is one of the most predominant heroes ever written.
Hopefully, the success of the movie will prompt MTV to think about continuing their computer animated series which was beginning to show a lot of promise. I can't seem to find the soundtrack or the remix of Heaven Scent by John Digweed that was used in the series, but I'm hoping that it'll come out soon as it was a killer track. :)

Yeah, when I looked up info. on the series, that's all that I was able to find. It's highly unlikely that mtv would do another season, but slightly possible that another network will. I certainly hope that that happens! I don't think that I can go four years without any new Spidey stuff...

What a minute the movie just came out and they already know when 3 is going to come out. That doesnt sound right.

yep, straight from the mouth of Sam Raimi himself. His only been given a release date that he must meet so far, who know when actual production will commence...

2007 seems certainly more likely, but Sam said that he was told the release date is 2008. I truly hope that he made a mistake with his statement..,

It's 2007. SuperHeroHype posted some pics of some promo posters with this date printed on them....3 years is long enough to wait....don't make it four!!;)
Sam & his brother are currently working on the story. Once the story is complete, then it'll go out to the screenplay writer(s).

Over in England that show was shown on a kids channel: Nickelodeon, at 9:00 on sunday morning. Lol
"Spider-Man 3" is going to be released in May of 2007, not 2008. Just wanted to clear that up.

How do you know that, though? Sam said himself that it was going to be released in 2008. If anyone could give me a link as to where the actual release date, I would truly appreciate it!
Sam Raimi NEVER said that it was going to be released in 2008. Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin announced that "Spider-Man 3" is already set for a May 2007 release. This was said at a press junkett for "Spider-Man 2".
