If you take a comic out of it's little plastic case, does it lose it's value?

i dont think so..the case is just for protection...as long as it's not damaged, i dont think the value decreases...but then again, i'm not a comic expert =/

It will become exposed to the air, and the humidity will yellow and fade the paper.
Not to mention the comic will become MUCH more suseptible (spelled wrong) to damage, like folds, creases, bending, etc.
So the answer to your question is definitely YES. Keep it in it's bag (when you're not reading it, of course), and invest in cardboard backs to help the comic retain it's flat shape.
