Alright guys, and gals here's the deal, I've done research on whats up with the PC version of the game, in fact, it's probably getting to be an unhealthy obsession, and I've realized something. Activision is breaking the law, mainly false advertising, I've talked to a couple of lawyers, and explained what's happened. Mainly because of all the ads saying that it is going to be rated teen, showing a bunch of info, saying the developer is Treyarch, and then saying that it is for all the consoles, and then PC, which it is not. if anyone has any extra info, please feel free to share. I may be contacting activision soon if they don't start talking.

See, thats what I was thinking too, that it was the end, but when a law is broken, it's not the end of the story. They cannot advertise a product as something that it is not.

Please tell me you think a company does not have it's assets covered. Plllleeeease.
I'm assuming you've read all the fine print/legalese?
Besides, as long as they're planning on releasing the PC version *eventually*, you have absolutely NO backing. They're just releasing the sucky one for now. :P

The whole law suit thing was just wishful thinking really, what really makes me mad is the fact that they aren't saying anything at all, just say things to clear it up and then I'll be fine, but nooo.

If they do release the good version eventually, they had better announce it soon before PC gamers go out and buy consoles June 29th and get even more ticked off when the good version comes to PC down the line.

Yeah, someone really needs to tell the people at Treyarch they can release *some* information, I mean, we're within 2 weeks of the game and the message boards <assuming that's what's in community> are still "coming soon".

It's almost a given they'll release it on PC eventually. It wouldn't be generic PC gamers who would go out and buy a console for this game, but Spidey fans in particular, and even then, they'd have to be fans on almost my level, which... is saying a bit much :> Actually, I think if I only had the PC, had seen the movies, and knew the PC version was coming out say in September <the PC *good* version that is>, I'd still likely pick up a console and the game on June 29th. No way am I waiting a day longer than needed. :P I *may* even do the same if they make KOTOR 2 X-Box specific to begin with.

Not that i would want to wait a day longer than i have to, but I had already spent $200 for a new video card in anticipation for this and a few other games this summer. I don't have another $200 to shell out that won't leave me in debt. As for the given part, I'm not so sure. Not to bring up silly points, but the PC cover is the same as the console cover for the game as well as the name "Spider-Man 2." To later port the console version would require at least a new cover which frankly I don't think Activision is going to do.

I dont think the pc will get the same version as the console, but ive got the demo of spiderman 2 on pc and I think that its still ok to play, you can go all the way around the city and the swining is ok, but if your a die hard spidey fan you would get it, still, it will be a big cry for the pc to get the console version, but i got a ps2, i never really play pc games so im lucky, sorry guys.

Where did you see this cover, in a store or on a website? Neither of those are the final cover. They could easily have two different covers... and if they didn't, so they make a second for the *real* PC Spidey game. And as for the given part, I don't know of a wantable game for console that hasn't made it to PC to think of. Can you?

I'm a die hard Spidey fan... but I'm not getting the kiddieized version. There are always limits to what you'll do. I won't buy a full-priced Amazing Fantasy #15 or pay for the SNES Japanese import title <Spiderman: Lethal Foes> either.

Yea, well activision is making a big big big mistake with this kiddie version, unless they are bringing the console version to pc later on.

Again, you don't have a clue that it won't for sure be released for PC. Think GTA 3 and VC - Think MGS - Think Halo or KOTOR.
All for console. All have made it to PC.

Well all the stores already have the preorder boxes set up and they all have the same cover. As for games not making it to PC, there are a lot, but I see what you mean when you say big games always do. But Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro never made it.

you can't really call spiderman 2 enter electro a "big game"

LOL Enter Elecrto wasnt good IMO, tried to have the same feeling as the first ps1 spidey game, but it didnt.

Erm... I think I said "wantable". I got that game, but based on the fact it had Spidey in it. It was... so-so.

Kind of like saying you're missing out right now if you don't go out and buy an Atari and the game for that system. Okay for it's time, but...

Hmmmmm, so what are you guys saying. That there won't be any PC version and that if there is going to be one that'll it'll be way months later but be even better. *scratches back of neck* sounds like a scam. Sheesh, and yet to do it to us, yes us, the True Believers.

Thats possible, but I doubt it will be better, it will be just the same as console versions, graphics isnt everything you know, all xbox owners say that, but i would rather great gameplay over a great graphic game that sucks to play, im not talking about spiderman 2 game though lo, nooo way.
