I was thinking in my room last night and well, our some villian
s BIG enough to have there own movie? Sure...Spider-Man would be in it, but the basis of the movie would be around the bad guy.

If something like this was to happen I think we all know who we'd like to see have there own movie...Venom! I know, some of you might disagree with this. But there's so much to build off of! Black Spider-Man, Eddie Brock, John Jameson, appearences of Carnage. I personally think if the movie was done right it would be amazing!

Also, another GREAT villian movie would be Sinister Six. So many villians, I think that would also be a great oppurtunity.

Ok...now that you know what I think about this, what do you all think? Should Venom have his own movie? Sinister Six, the movie? Should there EVEN be movies based on Spider-Man villians? I want to know your take's on this. So just take the poll and reply with your reactions.

Although many villains are good, I don't think there would really be a point in seeing a movie all about a villain. I doubt many people would like it.

I think that would be a bad idea...like the superhero who stops the villian would probably end up taking the spotlight anyway

It wouldn't be such a bad idea...:(

I mean, other movies spanning off of the Spider-Man movies would help audience's understand some stuff even if they haven't read the comics.

I find it a lot more fun watching Doc Connor's on screen in Spider-Man 2 when we know the monster he might become.

Other movies showcasing villian's might even boost the number of people who see the Spider-Man movies. Venom might appeal to a 'different' audience, and that would make the 'different' audience curious about what happens to Spider-Man.

Villian movie's would help draw in more people to see Spider-Man and be a little fun for people who already enjoy Spider-Man.

While I like many of Spider-Man's enemies, I don't believe giving one his own movie will work.

The villains don't work without a hero to fight them. If a bad guy with super-powers is causing trouble, who else is going to fight him except a super-hero?

Are we (normal people) going to stand up to them... We saw what happened during that subway scene in Spider-Man 2.

Plus, without the hero tie-in, people just won't care. Kingpin is great with Spider-Man and Daredevil, but without those two, a movie about him would just be like the Godfather. People have already seen that kind of movie many times.

Look at Catwoman, for example (I'm not sure if she's a villain or not). They don't seem to be tying this movie in with Batman in any way, and all people say is how bad that movie looks.

I never said that a superhero wouldn't be in it. The superhero just wouldn't have such a BIG part. It would be centered around the bad guy, and for once, it would have us rooting for someone else beside's Spidey. Don't get me wrong...Spider-Man is one kickass superhero! I just think people would enjoy a darker take on his villians. When there's two main character's in a movie, the superhero and the villian, you don't get to learn a lot about the villian. But if there was a whole movie on a villian you could really get to know the man behind the monster.

And, if Sam Raimi was up for this, there could be a movie all about a villian, then they could have that villian in the next Spider-Man movie. Really...this isn't such a bad idea to me. Ha-Ha-Ha:D

Oh, I think it would be cool to see.

I guess I'm just thinking about it from more of a financial aspect. I don't know if most people who aren't really comic fans would want to pay the $7.00 or whatever movies cost in your area to see a movie about a villain they don't know much about.

Spider-Man does well because he's a classic character. He's been around for so long. Superman and Batman movies do well because everyone knows those characters. I love Daredevil (the Frank Miller years), but I don't believe that movie did so well (please correct me if I'm wrong... I actually haven't seen it yet), and I'd guess it's because people just weren't familiar with the character.

That's why you've got to market it and make it to where people who don't read comics will go 'wow that looks like a great movie' and people who do read comics will say 'OMG I've got to go see this Fu**in' movie, it will be awesome'

You both bring up good movies...but if they made a Venom movie they'd have to do a really good job with it for it to work.

Alright...moving onto the next topic of discussion.

What would you think of a Sinister Six movie?

I don't think they could cram all of the Sinister Six into one Spider-Man movie. There would be no room for Peter to develop as a character. The whole movie would be all about Sinister Six with the title of Spider-Man.

I think a whole movie of Sinister Six would be great fun! We could watch all these different villian's bicker and possibly fight each other.
