But this is exactly what they are doing, building up her character for an introduction with aguably one of the best quotes in the Spidey-Verse. My guess is that she'll make her first appearance sometime in this current arc (ep. 4-6).

if they're following the comics, it is very likely that gwen is thrown off the bridge. i do not think this will happen until next season but i do think that the show will not be afraid to kill gwen off. the show is already showing signs of maturity with norman's dealings with the big man, and the problems pete faces.

i also think that this show will continue for a while because it is a well reviewed show that has high ratings.

I seriously doubt they are going to kill off a character in a kids show no matter how much they want to follow the comics. I think she will either move or just not have no real relationship with peter at all.

Also I have to agree that this show is very close with the comics and not just with the gwen thing, but also with vulture being his first villain and lizard hurting Peter's hand which is similar to the comics in which lizard breaks his arm.

this show is way closer to the comics then the 90's series. that show went all over the place.

between the spot, rocket racer, and the whole mj vortex saga, i really started to despise the show during the fifth season. as much as i hated the whole random clone stuff, i hated the fact they never finished the show even more.

that's what i hated about the show. the whole vortex thing. so stupid. the whole show basically threw the comics in the trash and made everything up themselves. i especially disliked how long it took the green goblin to get into the series.
