eh, whatever. 3-D usually does make action movies a lot more intense, though.

I'd rather have a normal film...

I don't care as long as when it's on DVD you can get it either in 3-D or not in 3-d.

Ugh, why does everything have to be in 3D nowadays? I just want to watch the movie normally, not have to wear special glasses.:shake:

whats so effin special about 3-D anyways, they use it on EVERYTHING nowadays movies like transformers can be cool for 3D, but Spidey?...no thanks.

this would be cool if they did....but as long as they have a normal one in theaters too.

I like the idea. :) Since the new way they make movies 3D is much better. Likewise for the glasses. Of course, I've only seen one movie in the new 3D which was Coraline. Which was fantastic in all perspectives! ^_^
But yeah, since the previous 3 films have been in 2D I think they should have Spider-Man 4 in both 2D and 3D. If they have it in 3D.
Next year, we're going to get several films in 3D. All of them being Disney movies.
Alice in Wonderland
The Toy Story trilogy
Beauty and the Beast
Those are the ones I know of.
So, yeah! I'd like to see it in 3D. Maybe they could release Spider-Man 1 - 3 in 3D as well. And in theatres before coming to Blu-ray and maybe DVD! :D

IMO, 3-D is just something that people try to use to get people to go to see a movie, its unessecary, I'd just rather see a good film in normal format

I'd rather have a normal film...
So would I.
I'd rather have an option to watch the movie in the normal 2D way, rather than being forced to put on 3D glasses every time I watch the movie.

And a Spider-Man movie alone should be enough for people to see it.

Question for 3D haters! When was the last time you saw a movie in 3D?
Because the newer IMAX 3D (Which I believe is what they are thinking about not all theaters) is really nice.

Remember the movie "Shrek 2"? Well, when it came out on video, they made 2 versions...one in 3D and the other regular viewing. It was a marketing thing, and the 3D version was sold in their 2-pack specials. The way they marketed the 3d version worked, and help sell a lot of the movies to people who wanted to enhance their viewing pleasure.
If they do a 3D version of Spiderman (regardless of which one), they should limit their 3D version to the marketing of the video CD rather than trying such a feat within a theatre setting. If they include collectible 3D Spidey glasses in the CD, then it might even sell as well at the Shrek 2 video did.
........my opinion anyway.

video CD? You mean DVD? I mean your not that out of touch with today are you!? And I have Shrek and Shrek 2 on DVD. When did you start getting DVDs?
Well let me up date you in the world of 3D. As of now its an IMAX exclusive with some exceptions. And I don't think a movie has been sold in 3D in years. It was such a cheasy thing to get those glasses. I mean you'd loose them easily.

I saw the new 3D... With the black bad *** glasses... It's good... But I think that seeing SPIDER-MAN in 3D would make me dizzy... No matter the quality.

Yes, DVD...Forgive me, i'm not as young as the rest of you. For us old-f@rts, movies that are viewed at home are called videos, and that round disc thing is a CD. I haven't gotten use to calling them DVDs yet, but give this old bat a few more sips out of the fountain of youth, and maybe i'll get the gadgets and gizmos correctly named. :p
I have no clue what "IMAX exclusive" is, but its probably some sort of new thing that i'll probably have trouble understanding as well.
You're wrong about a movie not being sold in 3D in years. I bought my son the 2-pack special of "Shrek 2" and "Shrek 3D" just a few years back when the 2nd Shrek came out to ...DVD (i got the DVD term right this time). The 3D disc even came with a couple pairs of 3D glasses...and so far, we haven't lost them. ;)

You said you were 40 something. Well my dad is 50 something and he knows to call them DVDs. But he's up to date with this kind of stuff, but my my mom is 40 something as well and knows to call them DVDs.
IMAX are the theaters with the really big screens and have speakers behind the screen and movies like Harry Potter 5 and Superman Returns have been shown in 3D in IMAX theaters only.
It's been mention in movie trailers before "also shown in IMAX 3D"

I really don't have any problem with the 3D stuff; I just don't want to be forced to watch the movie in 3D. Long as we have the option of IMAX or regular theaters I'm okay with it.

That's what I'm hoping for. Going to the regular theaters and doing that just seems weird and forced like you said.

 Come on! It's actually really cool. There's no doubt its gimmicky, but it makes action movies more intense.
And I doubt it'll be in 3D for all theaters.

Yeah, it's not because I didn't want, it's because I didn't have the chance.
Will Ice Age 3 be 3-D, too? If so, then that'll be my chance.

3D or no 3D? I don't really care. What I want is just a good story... I couldn't care less about the rest.
Sure it could be cool to watch Spidey in 3D, but if the plot stinks who cares??

no thanks, just a normal movie. Might work well if you make it for an amusement park like Universal Studios as a ride or something

If it was just an imax exclusive then go ahead.
I saw SuperMan Returns in 3D at imax and the 3D scenes were great.

well i've seen a couple coarline and monsters vs aliens which have been the only 3-D movies out lately and it is good but i still don't like the idea of spider man being there.
but what if it's only in IMAX? I've seen movies in IMAX 3D and it was pretty cool.
if it was only IMAX not 3-D which will happen then thats great

think about it:
Spider-Man + 3-D = really big mess!!(if not done right)
that said, i think they're better off in just regular format. why bother doing this now? there's only one spot where 3-D would work and it's in SM3.
