Agh! I'm so dissapointed in the Spider-Man animated series on MTV. I just look at that and nearly break my T.V.
There's endless possibilites with that show! They could have so much happen! But no...they throw a little thing called 'continuity' out the door and make the show...stupid! Yah, I watched it, it's Spider-Man! How could I not? But still...the possibilites that the show had just made me cringe in anger.
This thread is for anyone who wants to say what they would have done with the show. I'll tell what I would've done after awhile.

i love spider-man (at least the comics and movies) but never really liked any of the TV shows. I just can't help feeling they're a bit childish and i wish a more adult and mature series would be released.

I want a cartoon that *follows* the comics. You're not going to tell me if you put this on a mainstream channel that it wouldn't get the following to keep it going for ages...

i don't want a cartoon i would love to see the movies as a live action seires darn it:| come on am i right who else wants that i do i do pick me pick me please and with the original cast wouldn't that rock? i'm sure everyone would love see that:D !!!!! i mean if they did that we would all sure enjoy it and they would get great ratings and a lot of money! we would each benefit from it and we would both get something we love and (for at least most of us) deserve lets sign a petition and make this happen!!!!!!!!! ......... now that my friends would be cool

I watch reruns of the one from the 90s on ABC Family, but I had no idea they were playing the more recent animated series on MTV... The 90s one is pretty good. Even though instead of seeming kind of like a geek Peter is all buff and bulky. All the guys in that show have the same body - huge and muscular. And all the woman have perfect bodies, too.

You asked the same question on another thread, lol. I'll just post my response from there here.
10 AM on weekends. On Saturday at 10:30 AM, there's also Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends. On Sunday at 10:30 AM there is another Spider-Man: The Animated Series episode.
On the weekdays, it's on at 8:30 AM.
Oh, and it's on ABC Family... The channel would be important to know, right? :)

They used to have it on MTV @ 1 A.M. I don't have MTV2, though, so I guess I can't watch it.
I'll just watch ABC family.

i didnt like the way the 90's end of series episode where spiderman finished the clone wars and went with madame web to find mary jane i believe the line was
madame web-"you deserve some peace... lets go find mary jane..."
spiderman-"dont we all"
end series
i loved the 90's series i grew up with it and hope it comes out in a box set even though i bought a bootleg box set of cheaply made quality
i want them to continue that and the mtv series did suck but it had some ok ideas

i think it just sucked that the series ended but that was a good ending, he finally had peace, wish it went on though, the mtv series was ok like you said it had some good episodes, the last 2 were good, i really liked the series though, until i started watching the re-runs of the 90s spider-man because it was a lot better

I've posted a poll on who would like to see spiderman re-created by the same creators of action man. By using the likeness of the 90's version characters and give them the 3D Effect in CG style.

The 90's series was supposed to have another season, but the **** people at fox cancelled the show. It was a awesome show (besides the last 5 episodes or so). But I can't wait to see them on DVD.
I'd like to see a spiderman cartoon with drawings not CG, but just more modern than the 90's one. I don't like how the MTV series showed off the whole cel shaded thing.

i think that the perfect Spiderman TV show that would be worth watching would be one that has really good state-of-the-art animation, a very well-written script with every episode truly following the original comic books [minus any of the more tacky plots and the multiple love interests though], and a present-day setting.
