um....yeah..sam hasnt even written the script yet but like...the reason given by dunst as to why she wont do anymore spiderman movies is because she doesnt just want to be known only as MJ....and sure, they could kill her off or whatever, but like even if that were true, i doubt Raimi would tell about one of the most juicy bit that he can choose to include in the film...who knows? Sp3 might have a happy ending...(though i doubt it...)

I doubt they'd kill her off. That would be stupid, and I imagine that if they did, the movie would do about as well as the Matrix Revolutions (which wasn't nearly as well as it could have done). Besides, the reason she won't do a fourth is because she doesn't want to be known as MJ for the rest of her life, but I'm pretty sure she did say in an interview that she would only if they paid her a lot of money... which I don't know, probably won't happen.
And just because she doesn't want to come back after number 3 doesn't necessarily mean anything. Tobey and Sam had already said pretty much the same thing, so...
I hope they end it happily at three and then after that, they can do whatever they want with new actors/actresses.

I'm not sure how good six will be. Maybe stop at 4 or 5. However don't believe everything you hear. Ya know how many times I heard the lizard would be the cliffhanger at the end of sp 2. And people claimed they said it an interview. Sam wont kill her off, and he ain't even made the script yet.

that's kinda weird because I heard Sam was just beginning to write the story and he said it will come out May of 2008. I doubt he will kill MJ though cuz she marries Pete. If she doesn't wanna be in movies after the 3rd one, then they will either don't make anymore or change the actress. But I doubt Tobey will wanna do something after the third one either.

I think they will end Spider-Man 3 happily and I don't think that they'll kill off MJ. I doubt Sam Raimi wants 1000s of geeks dressed up as Spider-Man (me included :)) protesting his movie.

I agree, and he is also a big fan of Spidey, so he wouldn't ruin the story. I have faith in him as I had faith in peter Jackson respecting lotr. Sam Raimi will perform brilliantly as he did now.

Agreed. Besides, killing off someone who has had such an important role in the movies with so much time and effort spent developing her, nothing would be gained by killing her off. Besides, she doesn't even die in the comics, you can't go THAT far away from the comic storyline..... Can you????

It's not a book.........it's many books that get so confusing for readers.............alot have the Fantastic 4 in it which they couldn't have actors for them.

I was so sure MJ was going to die the way gwen did..

Someone tell me what's wrong with making millions and only being known as 1 character? It's not like this movie is a flop.. more like top 10 all time list material. Man... what I would give for an opportunity like that.

She plays the part extremely well, but from what I could tell from behind the sceens footage, she seems to be a bit of a "valley girl" type in real life - maybe that's what's wrong with her. *sigh* some people.

Well, if she does decide to call it quits on spiderman after #3 (and there actually IS a 4,5,6,ect), I hope she does well in her career and dosent regret her decision later on in life for giving up such a huge role.

I think Spider-man 3 is the only good thing she has. I only think she will make to A movies after Spider-man 3 then the rest of them will be b-movies. Finally, she'll try to pull a Halle Berry toplesss stunt in an A movie 20 years down the road and wind up being a Meg Ryan topless stunt that no one cares about. If she doesn't stick with Spider-man, it's all down hill for her.

The woman is already a super star. The only things I can see that will make her give up the MJ role, would be money and to give another actor the same oportunity which was presented to her.

I wonder if there will be more than 3 movies. If so, I think they will flop without the same lead actors. Just look @ what it done to Batman. The movies didnt even seem to be related to one another after a while because there was so many changes in the actors.

I hear yet another Batman is coming out too. I wonder if it will revive the steady decline which has been the batman series.

Lets not make Spiderman into another Batman type series.

I wrote this before and I'm gonna write it again, Tobey Maguire said as long as spider-man movies are going to be made, hes gonna keep coming back, which means the whole cast is gonna come except for Dunst, she wants to stop after 3(Stupid B*I*T*C*H), so I think they should have her character leave and bring a new love into Peters life and keep making the movies!

I'm a little surprised that so many fans are anxious for Spidey to end at (3)(movies). We waited years to see his story on the big screen--it FINALLY happens--it's a HUGE success--AND NOW we want it to end?? How many of us, even if (3) ends w/ a "happy ending", won't be longing for more "Spider-Adventures"?? ...And I don't think they'll kill MJ--she's almost died twice already!! ( a 3rd time would be a bit of over-kill--bad pun--sorry). I think the Black Cat will be introduced in #3.(a fellow student at Pete's college) and Peter will realize that she's more pre-pared to deal w/ his alter-ego's lifestyle. Plus, she's drop-dead gorgeous and that doesn't hurt. I think MJ will leave for awhile--and then return maybe in Spidey 5. Their love is too strong to just fade away BUT it will be tested. Longing--Together--Seperated--and finally, Reunited. Thoughts, anyone??

I don't think she should leave for very long, maybe for like part of one movie. Their love could be tested, but their love is so strong I could never see them breaking up even for just a little bit.

that was my idea its just like the comics but have peter propose at the wrong time to mj, she is having family problems so she says she has to see her family and that she rushed into things with john so she leaves and peter is depressed and the black cat comes in and they fight the villians together but peter sees theres really no other person for him but mj and he goes to where she went while the black cat handles the criminals of new york and then on there way back after everythings resolved mj says she will marry peter

I read from the other thread that the reason why Kristen is leaving is because she hates Tobey. They were lovers for a short period of time, and then Tobey dumped her. She's really not pleased about that. They signed up the second one and the third one when they were still together. But now she just wants to get the heck out cuz she doesn't want to make a film with someone who dumped her before.
I am not sure if it is true. It's just what I read from the other thread.

BTW. if they are really going to kill someone off, I hope it'd be Aunt May. Cuz I found out that it's a torture for Aunt May to live without Uncle Ben. So why not save her from the torture. And you know in Asia, many people believe in the idea of reincarnation, so maybe they can make them (Ben and May) come back as Peter and MJ's children or something.

MJ wont die. they need her to live incase they choose to do more movies. Spiderman has almost endless stories for movies. It would a shame to see the whole spiderman saga end with only the green goblin and Doc Ock.

If MJ does die maybe it might have something to do with the cloning saga.

People, people, from what I have seen Sam is a smart guy. I think he realizes he can't kill of an important and very vital character. He knows he will be boycotted by all of us spider geeks if he does. The one thing that we have to remember is you can do a lot more in a comic than you can in a movie. These movies keep a basis of realism or there would be a rebelion.
Sam is to big of a Spider-Man fan to kill her off.

I think that they should only make three movies. more than a trilogy and movies start to go down hill. Look at Star Wars.

In fact...I don't really like her...but I think she did well on MJ. If they're gonna do more movies, it'll be strange if they find someone else to play MJ.

I agree with Kirsten on one thing. She should only be MJ for three movies. Of course I am the Trilogy advocate. I say only make three movies. SAM WOULD NOT KILL MJ HE HAS TO MUCH RESPECT FOR THE COMICS AND HIS MOVIES. HE ALSO KNOWS HE WOULD HAVE A REBELLION AND A DROP IN RATINGS IF HE DID.
