Do you guys have the same feeling as me? After watching SpidermanII, i feel kinda strange....I feel kinda "lonely"in my heart, i guess it happen cos I want to see the second movie after i watch the 1st one, i wait for it day by day, and i check the offical website and this message board daily to see if there is any new spidey news, after i watch the second one, i do not have to do this kind of stuff and i do not need to wait to see it any longer...
THX for bearing with me, I know that there must be tons of grammatical mistakes and wrong spelling in this post, cos i came from Hong Kong and i am not good at ENG. But i am really glad that i have a chance to watch SPIDEY II on the opening day in US soil(i am now in chicago), I really want SPIDERMAN II can break the 1st movie record...to be a spidey fans , i think i have the responsibility to help it break the record, yet it fail........
I also hate myself that my eng is not good enough to understand all the dialogs in this GREAT MOVIE, therefore i MUST watch it again in HK as there are subtitles for me^^, anyway, nice to meet you guys here^^(is there anyone who can help me by telling me that if there are any cinema in Chicago 60661 which will show spiderman with subtitles with it, i would really appreciate ^^^^^)

Sometimes one of the best parts of an event is the anticipation leading up to the event.
I know EXACTLY how you feel.
And forget about your grammer. You type better than some people on this board, and English is their FIRST language!

Haha, how very true you are! As for me, I felt exactly the same way. While the anticipation is one of the most exciting times for me, once it's all over, I simply don't know what to do...something seems so lacking in my life, and while I realize what it is, I also am aware that there's nothing I can do about it. I've been through this stage numerous times (being an enormous HP and LOTR fan), however, this one is different because I won't have much to look forward to for quite a while. This is the first time in a long time that such has been the case. *feels incredibly depressed and anxiously awaits next thing to anticipate...*

Kinda strange??? I think I need serious mental help or counseling because, after watchins Spiderman II, I can't get the images out of my head. I'm OBSESSED, and I feel the overwhelming urge to see it over and over and over again! HELP ME!!!

I have been a fan for a long time and I felt happy that the movie turned out good for my boy Spidey. I was a little nervous that the movie would be a let down...but was extremely happy when Rami/crew did Spiderman movie justice.
I felt a sense of relief and gladness that my childhood hero was protrayed wonderfully. It was kind of a sense of pride...I don't know how to explain it.
Rami, Tobey and crew really put a lot of love into this movie and I thank them.

That's why I don't go see it on opening day, I let the anticipation sink in. I let the critics rate the movie. I hear about how great the movie is for another week. THen, I savored all the anticipation I can handle. I go alone to the movie at a time where I will have an empty seat next to both my sides and I watch the movie all by myself. Because!!! I is the keyword. No one is going to ruin the movie for me after I get done watching it. I have all the anticipation built up and then some that the movie becomes extra special. I don't care about bragging rights. I don't care that I see it on first showing of the first day with a hope bunch of friends. I want to see the movie independently because I didn't let anyone influence my thoughts about seeing a movie at opening time. I have the movie all to myself. aaaahhhhh, anticipation its a wonderful thing when you savor the flavor just little while longer.

I felt weird for a while. A combination of the release of all the excited tension and the ambiguous ending also put me on edge but mostly...I really wanted to go see it again, but I had other sh-t I had to do. If I had the choice I would've seen it a good 3 times on its first day.
As it is I've still only seen it 3 times. And I'm still not satisfied. All I can think about is the DVD now.

I know the feeling, too!! I was so excited that now that I've seen it I can't get it out of my head!!
It is weird now that the anticipation is over, but fear not, friends!! The Spidey saga is not over yet! Anybody know where I can download a countdown for Spidey 3? <wink>

I dont get that feeling, cause the anticipation I was having for this movie turned into anticipation for spiderman 3 as soon as this movie finished. I get that way with most good movies and games.

That's EXACTLY what I thought when I got out. I literally said outloud: "Now what am I going to look forward to?"

I understand completely. You wait so long for a movie that it becomes part of your life without you realizing it. I mean I almost cried after ROTK when I realized that the trilogy was over. No more waiting. No more downloading watching the trailer and making your predictions on the movie. Movies mean more to us than we realize. I mean what makes you maddest? Going into a movie you think will be good and have it turn our stupid and bad. I mean after watching several movies (Attack Of the Clones, Star Trek: Nemesis, Matrix: Reloaded, etc.) I was so upset about how bad they were I felt like sending the director a dirty e-mail. Movies make up our culture and you dont really have a choice on what culture is yours.

perfect said Oceandream130!!! I've been trough this stage a couple of times too after seeing some other great movies. If my English was just a little better, maybe I could describe it. It's just... something that impresses you that much, it's keeping you busy, you almost can't get it of your mind. You're obsessed, things in lives seems indeed so lacking... I'm not talking about waiting for seeing such a movie, but I'm talking about having seen (is this right English?!?) it and the things you feel when its over; you feel just kinda desperate, or lonely... Really don't know how to say this excactly, wouldn't even know how to say this exactly in Dutch (I'm from the Netherlands..)

Yeah. Ditto on the odd feeling. I think mine was due to the ending though. The anticipation was there all right but I didn't feel let down by it once I saw it. I got the funny feeling after watching MJ just stand there with that wistful look on her face as Spiderman went flying through the city of New York. It just left you hanging there for what is going to be 3 years!!! ***** But I'll be okay. The dvd will be coming out soon. :D

Star Wars fans will be feeling that emptiness next year, and it will be permanent. :(
