He fell into the water where the sun thing went out. how would the water have killed him??? the sun thing went out and he was just in water if anything his robotic arms could save him. And plus in the comics spiderman fought doc ock more than once. and doc ock is kewl so he wont die.:cool:

whatever i still dont think hes dead. in the comics he fought dok ock alot more than once so why wouldnt he in the movies?? and besides even if they did go out what does that matter??? appearently you havent seen that many movies because major villans always find a way to come back even if its not exactly the same person. for example in the comics harry takes his fathers place after norman dies. so i think that doc ock is still alive. so there.

Here's what I think. Everyone puts up a good arguement, but according to the action movie formula. If the bad guy is seen "drowning," falls off a cliff, gets shot(unless in head), blows up, there is always a possibility that he can come back. Because with these so called deaths, the screenwriters can come up with a BSed, yet believable reason that he is still alive. Unless he's dicapitated, or his body is found, you can count on a villan's return.

Yeah, but I read that comment in a different way. I thought it meant that he didn't want to die a monster (which he had already become by terrorizing the city), so he sacraficed his life to save the city, proving he wasn't a monser when he died...

... but I acually agree with you. I believe it was his intent to sacrafice his life proving he wasn't a monster, but his arms, which are much more powerful than he is, realized without Octavius, they couldn't "live," so they saved him from the depths.

Really, is it so unrealistic to think that he could have survived? We are talking about a movie about a man who climbs on walls and shoots webs out of his wrists. Reality was never a part of this series (comic or movie).

Isn't the movie based on one of the comics, it's like pretty percise except for the train fight? That's what I heard.

And I heard Doc Ock ONLY looks like he's drowning, then in the next comic it's shows that the arms swam him to safety...
