Anyone who hates the GG I give u 2 thumbs up. GG has nothing on venom or doc ock, they could whoop him in a second, plus he's cheap, he has to use weapons to fight, I like the hobgoblin better, plus he has a better name.

I love Green Goblin in the comics, and I thought the character was pretty cool in the movies, but I hated his costume, especially the helmet!
When I heard Willem Dafoe was going to play Green Goblin, I was so excited. He already looks kind of like a goblin. Just slap some pointy ears and an extension on his chin with some green paint and he's ready to go. I thought he'd be perfect for the part!
I mean, he was still good, but I acutualy wanted to see him as the Goblin, not him wearing a goblin helmet.
And why did the helmet look like a goblin? Did Oscorp design it that way, or was that an addition Norman made to the battle-suit?

GG was great but i think that Doc Ock was a lot cooler.

It all depends on trial and error. Had Dock Ock been in the 1st while GG in the 2nd, we'd probably all be saying how much better GG is.
Notice how much more chemistry, humor, special effects the 2nd one had than the first. The first waz more of an exploration. Trial and error my friends!
I think if they make(which they probably will) GG2 in the third, he'd be awesome.

I like the Green Gobby. Willem Defoe did an awesome job with the character and the future plot lines with Harry will be WICKED SWEET! I still liked Ock better but GG rules! (also, he's not a sissy for using weapons-----what about BATMAN!!)

GG is stupid. His voice is so stereotypical of a cheap villain. Like most villains, he was not an very intelligent. GG had no reason to exist. I guess he wanted to dominate and cause terror to the world along with SM, but it wasn't clear from SM1 that such was the case.
Doc on the other hand had one goal and that was to carry out his fusion experiments. SM was not his focus. SM3 should again bring some meaningful villains like the doc.

doc Ock is is a smooth 'cool' cat criminal that knows what to do..........like for instance Spoiler below.....
He planned the 'train' wreck and knew Spidey coulnd't resist helping.............and with all Spidey's known stregnth- heck look at Daily Bugle and all their stuff on him- could have gain knowledge on Spidey- not saying it's in the movie but he- and then 'exhasusted' took him in...........he couldn't have 'stabbed' him and said, "Freak- 0f- Harry- GIVE ME my Tridium I don't go by your rules-............so as cunning and all why would he do that- very smart and 'resourceful'.............so even if HArry 'backstabbed' him had none Ock would have killled them both and went searching on for it................................................ ................................
End of Spoiler still smart clever and wicked...............

of course green goblin's intelligent. He may be one of spidey's greatest villains, cuz he keep's coming back as different people, harry's psychologist, and harry... But it get's old, More dangerous villains, i have to go with the majority's choice, Venom, the symbiote knew everything about parker, having been the former host, made eddie brock a formidable foe. Even Mysterio, may not have had super strength, but his illusions kicked ***, and drove spiderman's spidey sense CRAZY! allowing him to attack spiderman. So many better villains that green goblin.

I didn't hate the Goblin. I just thought he was slightly tacky and a bit more directed at audiences of younger ages, you know?

I prefer the Green Goblin character all around, although I owuld agree that I enjoyed Ock in the sequel more.
The Goblin is just an awesome character. Norman sacrifices hiself to further science and goes mad. He fears the Goblin then works with him. He's the first one to know who SpiderMan is, which puts himself in a bad postiion. He loves Peter, really. Then his "dying" words aren't something like "I'll be back!" they're "Don't tell Harry."
Also it's good to compare him to another first movie hero villain, The Joker. Now, we all love Jack Nicholson as Joker. He did a hilarious and perfect job.
But Dafoe showed us Norman a lot better. He's not just some insane villain. The scene with Norman talkingt o the Goblin in the mirror shows this. I just felt that the Goblin as a character was one of the most moving villains I've seen in a long time. He also was a cool bad guy with some awesome one liners.

Thats just say that the GG and doc ock both rule the world of the vilian and I don't think we would have been able to pick Defoe and Molina are selfs what a film and what a pick!!!

I don't have anything against Dafoe as the GG. I just don't like the GG. I didn't like him in the comics, the carrtoons, or the movie. I like it most in the movie though tttt. Having armour the cause of powers was stupid.
He isn't even that smart, considering he has brain up powers. I just don't like him.
