The San Diego Comic convention is just about upon us! I for one am attending the full four days at the event (like usual). I'm curious how many other members of the message boards will be attending this year.

I know a special section has been recently made on the boards for getting as many members together for a viewing of the Spidey movie on Saturday the 24th. So there's gotta be more than a few members out there that are attending the convention that might like to gather together for a trip to see the movie again!

Welcome back :D

I would like to see the ComicCon. Is that the one FF will be discussed? Jessica Alba as Sue Storm, just another admirable attraction.LOL Question and answer, how does she feel returning to a hero part, and will not being seen be a plus or minus in doing her fighting sequences, and action scenes?

Anyway short of a lottery win, I will not be able to go. As usual, never been.

Anyway report back what it is like, please.

They're supposed to discuss the FF movie. It's a huge convention. More interested in checking out the Farscape discussion. Ben, Claudia will be there, along with a couple producer

I'll probably go this weekend, but just for a day. The thing is just too big. It gives me a headache. I never managed to see it all last year.

See, the problem is, if I go, I'll spend practically my life's savings there, and THAT would just be from trying to fill the holes in my collection. I don't even collect actively anymore.:(

I'd rather buy only ten issues, but really high-quality ones, rather than 100 mid-to-low range quality ones.

Ha ha. Like ones with Spidey's eyes colored in (in EVERY FRAME) by some stupid kid with a pen. I have a couple like that.

I'll be at Comic-Con with some other people interviewing people for the site. I'm not sure where we will be set up at this point (Last year we were set up right next to the Spider-Man activision game booth.) - but if you are going to Comic-Con look out for us.

BRING A CAMERA!!!

And you'd be surprised how little the Comic Con actually has to do with comics nowadays. Sure, it's at the heart of the thing, but it's evolved SO much further than the days when I used to go ('89-'90).

Did any die hard spidey fans attend it this year in San Diego?

I wanted to go real bad, but I'm in the process of getting a new place for myself, so I'm a little strapped for cash. And I knew, I KNEW (from my experience last year) that if I went, I'd spend a grip of cash.

And THEN I saw on the news that on Sunday they dropped the price to get in down to $15! I was bummed...

Oh, well.:( I'll go next year, for sure.

Where is it planned to be for the next few years? Any Canadian locations?

As far as I know, this particular Comic Con takes place ONLY in San Diego. This year was it's 35th anniversary.

But like you, I can't help but wonder WHY it doesn't tour the country, like other events. Or why other cities don't have similar events.
