He confirmed the villians. There will be two. Harry so far is a lock as Hobby or GG2. Lizard is the sensible choice at this point. Raimi isn't going to give an absolute decision so early but it's likely it's them. He can't confirm but hinted enough I think.
Sam and his brother are already writing the plot.

Yes and aways back he hinted that Ock was the villain in 2 in a similar show almost right after one came out.

Would like to see spidy face two villains in number 3.

BUT Having him face harry as the hob goblin would be the same sort of plot as spidy 1 wouldnt it. Mind you the lizard character would be cool to add that plot twist.

BUT i was thinking of another character, The Vultcher, you know the villain in the cartoon who suffers from the aging and reverse aging mutation. I would like to see him possibly played by (patric stuart)as the oldy and say (hugh jackman) as the young bloke who want to kill spiderman

it would sort of be the same villian but different because peter will have to fight his best friend i mean if i was him i would hate beating up and maybe killing my best friend whereas he didnt know norman was the goblin until the end and norman sort of killed himself

yeah, nothing has been confirmed... everything falls under speculation so far.

BUT,
harry/goblin2 is the obvious villain due to the ending of the last movie. i just hope they make him cooler than the first goblin. don't get me started on the power ranger costume and that mask...

ANYWAY,
dr. connors has appeared/been mentioned on both movies but nothing yet on the lizard. it's about time they unleash his alter ego.

also, the third movie should really introduce Eddie Brock with a hint for Venom to appear in the fourth movie.

I thought it was pretty obvious GG2 and The Lizard were going to appear. Well that's what i thought even before the 2nd movie was released, depending on if GG2 made an appearence in the second film, which he didn't and was well set up for the 3rd film.

One thing is for sure. Raimi was asked on the red carpet if there were two villains and he replied "yes,but I won't say which ones."

If this Uk interview is legit it really seems those two are the most likely candidates especially if Raimi,Dunst,and Tobey are possibly gone after 3. It would close that arc.

I was playing the first movie game one day when I saw a clip of the Shoker, To my surprise his head and face shape matched that of Vin Deisle. I said, "vin as shocker? that don't seem as bad". If indeed tobey etc back out of the 4th spider man, its gonna blow, alot of us have agreed on this. If this is indeed the case and a fourth film isnt made, and if indeed the lizard is the second bad guy (if there are two bad guys) then that sucks cause I wanna see venom, the cg work would be an awesome thing to witness, ahh the battles *drools*, would be so good. anyway thats my two sense....not that it matters lol

I think they'll probably put Black Cat in as good not bad.

Also, does anyone know or have any idea when we WILL KNOW FOR SURE who the villain(s) for Spider-man 3 will be? I think that the press conference announcing Doc Ock was no more than a year before the movie came out but I'm not sure. I really want to know who the villain is.

I think the two villians for spider-man 3 are gonna be GG2 and the symbiote. That way spidey can wear his cool black costume and it will set up venom for spider-man 4.

Maybe they could have shocker with a short role, getting caned and jailed, then they should have spiderman with a screwed up costume after a short battle against him again when he escapes. Then, he finds the symbiote which becomes his black costume. Then after some battles against GG2 AKA Harry, GG2 stops battling for a while then spidey's costume tries to control him then the costume joins with eddie brock creating venom. last part should be carnage being created then defeated by both spiderman and venom.

Or the villain could be about scorpion or sandman but I like the venom/carnage idea

she comits her life to peter (not marriage),leaving black cat in her past(felicia is black cat), but later becomes obssesed with wanting power, so she goes to the king of power/crime. the kingpin!

Well i definately agree with those few who think they need to put Venom in a movie, He is one of Spider-Man's greatest and toughest villians and the special effects for him would be AWESOME! And yes, from what I think, the Lizard is probably going to be introduced in the third one, it would be a smart move at least. And they also did mention Eddie Brock's name in the first one, and was disappointed they didn't even show his face, but yeh. But then again from this point the story could go anywhere, almost anywhere.
