John bringing it from space gets my vote. It has a homage to Secret Wars without all the backstory.
The ultimate origin with Eddie being a high school friend and the parents being friends kinda sucks. But it could work.

i think it would cool like a mixture. john jameson brings this wierd rock to earth, and some cienctest do soem work on it and turn it into the symbiote. welll something like that
