1/ I think adding the Black Cat to the mix in Spidey 3 is a good idea. Why? Romantic complications, etc. Keep in mind, MJ has nearly died twice already. Peter IS right and deep down they both know it. BUT people in love are willing to take risks. 2./ I know everyone's pushing for Venom but I can't see it. Why?? He's a "brain-eater", for one. Everyday, I see kids proudly wearing their Spidey-shirts. Would YOU take your (5) yr. old to see it?? Pretty scary, stuff, I'd say. ...And since the Spidey-audience is about split 50/50 male/female how will the ladies react to Venom?? Sure, the guys think he's cool but... I'm just looking at it from a producer's stand-point. Who's going to see this movie?? Who are we "targeting"?? 3./ "Man-Wolf" in Spidey 3?? Puh-lease. With so many "colorful", original villains to choose from: Electro; Mysterio (A possibility as MJ's career develops; Kraven; Sandman; Rhino; Shocker; Vulture, etc. Why go w/ a borr-ing werewolf?? Spidey is breaking "new" ground. 4./ I do think the Lizard will be in Spidey very soon. Alot of plot possibilities here ie; Peters' relationship/friendship w/ Doc Connors, etc. In summing up, I am EXTREMELY pleased w/the 1st (2) movies and see no reason why Spidey won't be on the big-screen several more times. Have we lost our affection over the years for James Bond movies?? NO! ...And what's "Jason" up to now?? (10)?? Spidey has more stories than you can shake a web at. Thoughts??

I have to agree completely.I never wanted to see Man-wolf or Venom. But I did want to see Black Cat.My thoughts are apparently no different from yours.

NO, Gwen Stacy (rumored) and NO Black Cat. (also rumored). They did do a great job "continuing" the story but I didn't get what I was really hoping for. About 3/4 thru the movie I began to realize/fear that this was the case and that I would have to wait (3) years!! (UGH!!) for the next possibility. Other than that, I really enjoyed Spidey 2. C'mon. Hurry up (3) yrs.!! LOL

My thoughts exactley. I think they could easily make about 9 movies about spider-man, but that would have to be different cast. I'd like to see 6 movies with the same cast, but who knows with Raimi,Tobey, and Kirsten already talking about leaving after 3. I only hope they change their minds.

Spidey could--and should--go on for several more years/movies. As for the "current" team of Raimi, etc.,they have done an admirable job BUT, sad to say, their leaving is inevitable. Truth is, "movie-people" seem to get bored rather quickly; they don't want to be "type-cast" for the rest of their careers; they want "new" roles to gain a bigger audience and stretch their abilities, etc. The "transition" of one team to the next--after Spidey 3--can go smoothly IF the "original" feel for the characters isn't lost. I personally was completely unfamilar w/Tobey before seeing him in the 1st movie. That being said, I think He definitely captured the "spirit" of Peter Parker and his alter-ego--BUT the next actor is also quite capable of doing the same. Truth is, I'm a fan of the "character"--"Spider-Man"--MORE than the person playing him. I believe that SONY realizes they have a gold-mine on their hands and will be very careful about insuring its' success in the days to come. Rest easy!

Since Raimi already finished the script and it's going to take them 3 years to film and other stuff, I guess we're expecting a thorough film with possibly lots of complications and fighting.
