First of all...**** am I glad that the whole Ezekiel plot is over with.

Anyway...onto the point. What do you guys think about the recent issues of Amazing?? Have you guys been reading??

Those of you who have picked up the recent issues (509 - 510) know that Mike Deodato has taken over pencilling.

Romita Jr. is Romita Jr. but I've come to appreciate a more "real" way of illustrating - Romitas characters' all tend to look the same...he kind of cuts corners. He's awesome at Spidey action frames, but when the characters are in a more natural setting...they look cheap and far too manga-ish.

I'm glad they switched it up with Mike.

The new story arc is what I'm excited about the most tho! Any time Gwen is mentioned you know there's some drama in store.

So...anyone want to comment. I hope you guys are keeping up. If not...I highly reccommend going out and getting #509 and #510 now!

wasn't Deodato the same guy that did a really cool run of Thor? anyway, the art's cool on last ish.

regarding the story, i'm just waiting to see how they fill in the blanks of Gwen's letter...

where do you buy them online?
you should just subscribe to the comic. it's about 20 bucks for a full year. you can even do what i did and ask for it as a birthday present... or christmas (whichever's closest) ;)

i thought that other thread was about the spidey comics in general. this one i think was created specifically about the current storyline. i will check out the other thread too tough. :) i'm relatively new to the boards but it is getting highly addictive!

anyway... it's taking too long to receive my next issue! (i prefer to wait for it and read it the old fashion way instead of online...)

i've got no idea. it will take a couple of weeks until they process your order and ship out the first issue. when i first subscribed i waited till i received my first copy and then went to the comic store to get some of the previous ones. maybe in the comic thread they know which one you'll receive.

Yeah,you might want to pick it up anyway just to safe. I was subscribed to XMen before and they sent me the issue after the finale with the hologram cover so I missed out. That one was out a week after I joined.

Does your comic store do subscriptions? That's what I do. They'll hold it for you. Didn't cost me a thing to join.

The Marvel Knights spidey story is really good. Have you heard about it? I think it was on that site. Aunt May was kidnapped..another one I can't wait for. I think Amazing is the best Spidey title out now.

Yeah it's easy to. There are too many. Anyway in Knights someone found out Pete's identity and smashed Uncle Ben's gravestone. Then kidnapped aunt May. Got pounded by Vulture and Electro and sent to the hospital where Vulture saw his face! It's awesome. Now he's teamed with Felicia.

That's the one. The next issue didn't continue any of that instead he fought Ock. So hopefully the next one will.
