Thanks, I had figured it out...but darn! None of them match my phone, an LG 4600. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to settle for "Bolero".

If anybody's got any other ideas on where to find one, I'm all ears. Thanks.:)

Have you checked with your carrier? I have Sprint PCS and they have 23 different Spider-Man related ring tones. I really like the ones that show a spidey animation on your phone's screen as a song plays. :D

Thanks for the tip! I have Verizon, but all I can find is one, Spider-Man by Danny Elfman. But it doesn't sound all that great as a ringtone.

Make sure you click on the link and then copy that web address for the photo, because on these boards, the vb code shortens the links in posts, and your picture won't work if you copy that direct link. So go to the site and copy the web address, put image tags around it, then it should work.

I hope you like it. Let me know if you want me to change anything.

What Spider-man 2 merchandise does everyone here have?

I have a big Spider-man doll, the card set, and some cups from the movie. Anybody else get those cups at the movie theatre. They look really cool. I saw them after I watched the first movie, so I went to the concessions and asked if I could get one of the cups for free. They said no, that it would cost 4$, I was surprised. So I said no, and instead just grabbed two of them cleanes looking ones out of the trash can on the way out. I got home and washed them right away, don't know who drank out of them, and now they sit on my shelf. They are extremely cool looking.

The Obsessive Spider-man Fan Group!!!!

okay first off if your not weird dont read this thread

Me, the next spider-girl and spideyluver21 have come up with a club and this is its thread here are the requirements to be in this group made by the next spider-girl and spideyluver21
-Introduced by either the cartoons or the movies, owns several reprints and maybe even an original or two. Browses the web for Spidey info and gets up in the morning to watch reruns of the cartoon. Owns miscellaneous memorbilia.
-You must have no money, because the rest of us are broke.
-You must like Kudos bars, cookies, and brownie blizzards.
-You must prefer Oreo's or Fig Nutons over Ritz crackers.
-You must be weird.
-You must be an obsessive Spidey fan and be dedicated to the cartoon.

ok those are the rules (they came up in the Do You Get Board Of Spiderman thread so if you read that thread you'll understand them)

to become a member of the club you must prove your weirdness

once a member you put this in your sig http://ourworld.cs.com/ROTChobbit/fangroupmember.gif with the IMGs before and after it(made by the next spider-girl)

and heres the club webpage made by Spider_man01 http://expage.com/osg01

Spidey-fans, spidey-fans
Totally obsessed spidey-fans
Cookies and kudos, they like to eat
Plus brownie blizzards, this food can't be beat
Look out!
Here come obsessive fans!

Are they weird?
Listen bud,
Strangeness is in their blood!
Can they ramble like a fool?
Rambling is their deadly tool
Hey, there
There post the Spidey-fans

Before half past eight
They begin to awake
For a cartoon so great:
"Spider-man" takes the cake!

Spidey-fans, spidey-fans
Friendly Internet spidey-fans
Wealth and fame
They do lack
They're broke, it's a fact

To them, life is a great big fandom
Whenever there's something random
You'll find the spidey-fans!

Whoa, have I been busy.

I have finals on Monday and Tuesday, and then the rest of the week we'll be doing something stupid, I'm sure. Then there's volleyball(which is actually over tomorrow!!!!!:D), and a whole bunch of other merde. Ugh.

SMG, those pictures would be great! Thanks! :D

Well, I think that's about it.

Oh-I think they're both kinda corny, but they're so sweet! I'm such a sap.

BTW-Did you know that Marvel came out with a Mary Jane book? And they have a second one. It's actually pretty good, but it's so sad when they talk about Peter's parents. *frowns* Oh well.

LOL :D Hey the soundtrack is awesome!

The book is called "Mary Jane". It was at Barnes and Noble. It's blue and has the heart w/Spider-man's face in it(like the one in my sig behind Peter and MJ). The second one is green, but I only got the first one.

I think it's based off of the Ultimate SM comics.

Oh yeah! I love the soundtracks! I've had all 4 of them according to how they came out..Like I actually had the SM2 soundtrack on pre-order before it came out and same with the score soundtrack. It's just taken my dad awhile to actually "LISTEN" to it, but boy! once he did, he's as hooked as me!

Your siggy is hilarious inverted!!!

Thanks for the info on the books. I'm actually heading for Barnes and Nobles tomorrow, so I'll have another book to put on my list of to buys.

I don't know where Nest Spider-girl has gone off too. Hopefully you can find her!

Hey Caline,
I actually went to my library about a month ago and got copies of that magazine, and some from the first movie. I will scan them in and post them soon. They are in black and white, but it will be anough to sustain until somebody else gets a color copy. My library is great, they have all major magazines for the past 5 years. That book you were talking about, the Mary Jane book, I read it, it was good, except for that it was made primarily for girls, so it didn't appeal as much to me. But I think that any girl would like to read it.

I will try to get those pictures up soon.

-Yeah, the MJ books have more of a girly spin, but they're still pretty good.

My parents bought it and we watched it last night-and I watched it again today. Tht movie is amazing. The special effects were brilliant. I loved how they showed everything freezing, and the tornados, and the water going everywhere. One of my favorite parts is when they show the Statue of Liberty completely frozen over, and then the New York skyline. They put so much detail into it!!!

OK, sorry, I'm on a roll, but I absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED The Day After Tomorrow!

I'm planning on asking for the gift set for my bday or Christmas. :D

A stroke of geniousness Hiratsu! Great job with the siggy! I think it's hilarous!

I might have to re-think my thinking with the gettting or not-getting of DAT. My sister was gonna get it, but she informed me the other day she changed her mind. So...I guess I might have to get it.

But back to Spider-Man, I forgot to mention in my list of Spider-man item collection, I have 3 ticket stubs from the theaters and more important than that, I have my entreance pass from Universal Studios Hollywood that has a picture of Spider-Man with "Spider-Man Rocks!" across the bottom. Universal Studios was AWESOME! They had a really cool display for Seabiscuit that had a bunch of the movie props in it with this really good pic of Tobey as "Red Pollard". That was cool to see!

OK guys, I have decided to tell you how I am doing on the Spidey Fan recruiting. Here's my results so far:

-A Senior in my French class is a Spidey fan, and she is also glad to find another Spidey fan. That result is a plus!!!!

-Three girls on my volleyball team have been acting like they're shooting webs. They even made a cheer about it! They do it all the time! But they just like the sound(They make a **** sound. I tried to tell them the real sound, but they decided the **** sound was more fun) and the hand thing. Still, they are talking about Spider-Man, so it works.

-My friend Sally(made-up name) says Spider-man is okay, but she prefers Batman. That result is not so good.

-One of my other friends named Dave(also a made-up name) was talking about Aunt May. I told him who Aunt May was, and he said "Isn't Aunt May Peter Parker's grandma?" I said "No, you idiot. He is Peter's aunt. That is why she is called AUNT MAY, you idiot." So, that result was the worst.

So far, I have made one recruit. As for the other five, they are pretty hopeless. Although the volleyball girls do make references to Spider-Man.

Caline
10-25-2004, 06:20 PM
well, that's a good start anyways. Could be worse. And at least the volley ball girls make references. That is always a sign that at least they aren't blocking Spidey out!

Oh! And thank you for the well wishes regarding my computer! They can be very tricksy....

10-25-2004, 06:21 PM
i finally got my friend at least intrested in spider-man! (that is SUCH a big deal because she hated it so much! :() got her at least interested in it though through the comics, she didnt like the movie but she never saw spider-man 2 which i think she'll like cause she seemed to like the storyline where MJ knew peter was spider-man and sooo many people find out he's spider-man in spider-man 2!

spideyluver21
10-25-2004, 06:30 PM
Yay! Other people are recruiting, too! :D

I still can't believe Dave* said that. How could he think AUNT MAY was Peter's GRANDMA?!

What an idiot.

Still on the search for s-g. So far, all I have found is that she hasn't posted in a while.

The evidence so far is not showing much.

hey Obssessive fans :D

sorry i still don't have pictures of Forest Hills for u yet. but my mom bought me a digital camera on Saturday guys!!! i'm gonna finish my mission once it comes in the mail!!!

last friday i took a bunch of pictures of the "Tobey" intersection with a REGULAR camera. *sigh* a regular camerca is more trouble since i've gotta get the film developed [one day..lol], scan the photos, and then, since i'm an idiot with computers, figure out how u take the scanned pictures and transfer them to photobucket.com to post on here.

what's even more complicated is that the scanner is connected to my MOM'S computer, not mine. and my mom's computer's internet is down so i saved the 'test' picture onto a CD and that's when it got too confusing for me. so i gave up and had to go study for an AP test :(

sorry it's taking forever guys!

I finished my finals this morning. :) Yay!

I have more results on the recruiting process:

-a little girl I babysit for is at my house right now, and she saw the sigs on this site and said "Is that Spider-Man? Hey, he's right there, too." But when she saw Peter she said "That's Spider-Man's friend." So the results on that are so-so.

Still searching for clues about s-g.

it's ASCAN AVENUE and QUEENS BLVD. the horizontal street in front of the church is Ascan Ave. it intersects AUSTIN ST. a little further down to the left where u can't see but THAT'S WHERE TOBEY MAGUIRE WAS! in the scene where Peter's running from school after he beats up Flash ^_^ i'll stop by there after school tomorrow to take the up-close pics.

more to come people! Yay!!
Go SpideyMovieGirl, go!

ok, these are the major ones guys! i went right after school..ah the things i do for you Spidey fans [lol jk]. it's the intersection i'm always talking about! i live only two blocks away from this place!

LOOK FAMILIAR?? :D
the cameo of Forest Hills, Queens: the shot u see right after Peter beats up Flash at school and then runs off! ^_^ Ascan Ave. and Austin St.

if it doesn't look familiar to u, watch the movie again and take a look closer at that part! keep your eyes open right after Pete throws his punch on Flash and then runs off.

*note: that bigger grocery store with the green awning changed the font on their awning. :( i liked the old one better than what they have now.

next stop: Sybilla St.
>>where the houses they used for Peter and MJs' are. i'll hafta do those on the weekend though. ^_^

Wow!!! Those pictures are amazing! To actually see those places from the movie in real life! Many thankyous for you smideymoviegirl. It is cool to see those scenes from the movie. That picture from your balcony was great. Bring on the photos, I could look at a 1000 and never get tired.

I am glad you got a digital camera, they are amazing.

I can't wait to see the neighborhood photos, it must be great to see those spots everyday. Thankyou very much.

Caline, those Seabiscuit photos are great. Thanks for posting them. It would be great to go to Universal studios sometime, it sounds like a super-fun place!

*Watches fight scene with Flash, cheers Peter on*

*Pauses DVD as Peter runs through the intersection*

*Backs it up, and slow motions through scene. Sees every detail in SMGs pictures!*

*Continues to alley scene*

*Hair lights on fire when seeing closeup of organic webshooters*

SpideyMovieGirl! Too, too cool! How wonderful you actually live there!!!

You can tell some time's gone by - the paint on the crosswalks has worn away quite a bit since they filmed.

Is it possible to get a picture of the alley where he does his first wall-climbing??? Or did that only exist on the Sony set?

good news everyone!

1. i found someone who likes spider-man!

2. today i brought in my comics and 3 of the kids in my class couldnt stop reading them!

3. im still working on someone else...they think its interesting but *** (dont ask shes weird;)) her boyfriend thinks spider-mans *** but he likes the weirdest and stupidest things so i really dont care! ;)

-hey c2, Mrs_P, sp21, and sg4302!
glad u like 'em!

hey Mrs_P :D
yep a lot of time has gone by. they filmed here all the way back in 2001 so paint on the crosswalks and various other things have worn a little since then. what i really resent is that the big green grocery store, Natural, changed the font on their awning. it's ugly now! i liked the script better! i shop there a lot ^_^

lol no way. i wish! the first wall-crawling was shot on a Sony set, no where here in Queens :(.

yes, i know! sometimes i still get shocked at the fact that i live in Forest Hills. i like to go crazy and think, "wow..maybe i was DESTINED to be an OBSESSIVE SPIDER-MAN FAN because i grew up in the same neighborhood as Peter Parker!" and a month ago i went up to my parents and said, "i would like to formally thank you for choosing Forest Hills as our place of residence when i was 4 years old!"

it was such a beautiful and sunny day today so i don't know why these two pictures came out darker-looking! i think it's probably because i didn't have my flash on [didn't wanna attract attention lol], or because it was TOO bright. so the true light of Ascan Ave. and Austin St. isn't really showing in these pics. but i'm happy that u guys liked them!

Wow! I can't believe that I haven't visited the boards at all till now today! But I guess it's kinda hard to do that when you work the day shift and then go right into the city to a movie right after you get off. Which I am so excited to tell you all! I took one of my friends to see SM2 today and it was her first time seeing it! *gasp* but on the bright side of that, she loved it! :D It was so awesome! But then...we all already know that! ;)

I bought the comic yesterday, but I haven't had a chance to read it fully yet. The Amazing SPider-man Arc is currently about the story of Gwen's death, and the new fact that she had kids. Who was the dad? Norman Osborn- 512- SO Peter finds this out from MJ. The kids have grown up super fast and are wanting revenge on Peter for supposedly killing Gwen, they also think that Pete is there father. But he is not and this is where 512 ends. I hope that didn't sound to garbled up.

Spoiler for 513-

From what I saw, Spider-man and Gwen's two kids meet again near a bridge. Fighting ensues, and somehow they both lose their masks, I don't think spidey does though. The guy falls in the river, leaving Spidey and the Gwen twin/daughter on top of the bridge. Somehow she falls off, and it is reminiscient of the look of when Gwen falls off, cathcing her with a web by the leg. Anyways, the same thing happens that happened to Gwen, only Peter is determined not to let her die. He takes her quickly to the nearest hospital screaming for help. Meanwhile, the brother gets sucked into a sewer and guess what he finds? The Goblin lair, suits, etc. The end. I hope that didn't spoil it to much for anyone. I haven't actually read it yet, this is only what I could tell from flipping through it.

Why?! What happens?! This is KILLING me!! heres a review of it from samruby.com :D it describes most of the issue:

Here I go again "walking on egg-shells", with possibly the most controversial spider-storyline since the Clone Saga. As most people out there already know, it was revealed last issue that Sarah & Gabriel are the children of the late Gwen Stacy and Norman Osborn. That's right, the most prominent and ruthless villain of Spider-Man's: The Green Goblin. We also learned that Peter has discovered that they are now dying from premature aging, due to the Goblin Formula-infected blood of Norman Osborn. Yea, I know, I'm not breaking any new ground here, so on with the fifth part that opens once again with Peter and Mary Jane: Trying to figure out how to contact Sarah & Gabe in order to help them. Spider-Man later holds a press conference to alert Sarah & Gabe to meet them where their mother was last seen: The Brooklyn Bridge. He has to wait a half an hour, but the twins do meet him. With the media already on them, the three talk over Peter's discovery that their true father is Norman Osborn, rather than what they have been led to believe: That Peter Parker is their father. We then get a bunch of flashbacks showing how Norman nurtured and brought them up in their younger days. Osborn basically brainwashed them to avenge their mother's death, but only if Norman "falls". Soon, the police arrive near the bridge, just as Peter begins to explain what he knows about Osborn, and about their premature aging. There is only one problem: They do not trust him, at least not Gabriel. Unlike her hot-headed brother, Sarah trusts Peter, but Peter has to deal with Gabriel now. Gabe leaps at Spider-Man, intending to kill him, but Spider-Man holds back not intending to hurt Gabe. Gabriel shoots at Spider-Man, misses, and accidentally hits his sister Sarah. Like her mother years ago, Sarah then falls off the bridge, but Spider-Man has some experience here. After saving her from the fall, Spider-man takes her to the hospital for medical attention. Elsewhere, Gabriel makes a visit to a place he and his sister have always intended to visit, but I guess never got around to it!

Additional Comment #1: For possibly the best commentary on this very controversial storyline, go take a look at what the MadGoblin has to say in his "DeFlowering Gwen: Norman Robs The Cradle" Article. Everyone currently having a conniption from this storyline should read just one line there: "When I like the story, it works. When I don’t like it, it doesn’t, and it’s blasphemy". So very true. I have received so many comments from e-mail, suggestion box, and instant messages, from crazed fans about this storyline, you people all need to calm down. Seriously. Anyway, take the time to read this incredible article by definitely the best Spider-Article Writer out there. You will either come away agreeing with it, or despise him, but be easy on him: He is a Cubs fan after all!

Additional Comment #2: To clarify something about my ratings: I do not have to agree with something that a writer scripts in order to give it a high rating, nor agree with his or her choices that are involved in that end-product. Likewise, the opposite is true as well, as there are many variables that go into any given rating. I would rather have Gwen be "true" to Peter, but like the real world: These things unfortunately happen.

Art
Gorgeous.
Best Page: The full-page shot where Spider-Man saves Sarah, and begins to swing to safety.

Continuity Police
No tickets given.

Spoilers
Norman Osborn intended to "pass the torch" to the twins.
Gabriel makes a visit to one of Norman Osborn's secret hideouts.
Gabriel discovers a Green Goblin costume & what appears to be a Black & White version.

Good
Very dramatic issue, with loads of revelations.
The relationship between Peter and Mary Jane.
Fans will definitely be pissed!
Bad
The character of Gwen Stacy tarnished?
The cover not indicative of the interior.
Fans will definitely be pissed!

Awesome! My mom took away the candy after the fifth Spider-Man came to our house. I kept giving them five or six pieces of candy(we get a LOT of kids on our street, so we usually only give out 3 or 4 pieces, if that), and my mom said we were gonna run out. :(

Our poor little thread was going towards the bottom of the page, so I decided to come up with a new topic.

Why do you like Spider-Man?

Caline
11-03-2004, 06:34 PM
I like Spiderman because I believe in superheros. I believe in good people who strive to do the right thing against all odds, and in Spiderman I see that. I love the movies so much because the actors portray the characters so well, that you forget that they are even acting. It pulls me in ALL the WAY. It has super-action mixed into a sweet enduring love story that isn't fakey. It is a love story that could happen in real life. A story that guys enjoy watching with you! :D

spideyluver21
11-03-2004, 07:01 PM
^I agree^

But I like Spider-Man because he is still human. Even though he has superpowers, he isn't indestructable. The little things get to him, and he isn't perfect. Look at Superman-he has TONS of powers, and the only thing that stops him is kryptonite. But Spidey has to worry about Aunt May being sick all the time. He's a real guy. You could see him walking down the street and not even notice him, but once he has that suit on, everyone has their eyes on him. :D

spideymoviegirl
11-03-2004, 07:56 PM
same thing here, sp21 and Caline :D

i love Spider-Man because he is the most humanistic superhero. he is flawed and vulnerable, and he has REAL problems, so you can always, ALWAYS identify with him. he's one of those fictional characters in books and movies that are always standing by you no matter what [like if ur friends can't be there, HE'S there. that may sound a little crazy but it can be true sometimes].
i love the feeling i get with i see this figure clad in blue and red tights. when i see him, i see A LOT of FUN, and i see a superhero with genuine emotional dimensions who puts himself last and others first. it's wonderful. he automatically becomes a role model for me and i'm loving it more and more everyday!

most importantly, i love him because he is just so **** cool!

i also love him because he's Peter Parker? :\

and i love Peter Parker because he's a beautiful guy who's from Forest Hills, Queens. lol

yea. so that's why i love Spider-Man!

I love the Subject on your post:

Spideyluver and the case of the missing s-g

That is my new case name(the name of my case).

Her last post was on this thread, where she said she was hanging in there...

Oh no! What if she's not hanging on anymore?!

Uh-oh guys...I've realized that people are slowly dissappearing. Here is my list(no nicknames-this is serious;) ):

-the next spider-girl
-Peter Parker freak
-sguy
-calculator2006

And these two come on every once in a while:

-Spidergurl4302
-SpideyMovieGirl

Actually, I think it's only me and Caline. :(

What is going on?

This is now The Case of the Missing Obsessive Spider-Man Fan Group Club Members.

Wow, that's a long title.

Caline

Zionks SP21! Sounds like we have a real mystery on our hands!!!

I've noticed too that many of our regulars have one by one disappered. I wonder what is going on! Surely it's not lack of conversation b/c there is always something new being said here lately. And school shouldn't be at the critical point yet. It's not for another 3 to 4 weeks that the "finals" cramming should begin.

By the way...have you fulley recovered from your faint earlier. I was gonna offer you some smelling salts if you needed them. ;)

spideyluver21
11-05-2004, 10:53 AM
Yes, I have recovered. Thank you for asking. :D

Okay, here are possiblities for the dissapearing:

-SCHOOL(even though it isn't really cramming time, there is still a lot of homework)

-WORK

-THEIR OBSESSIVENESS HAS FADED

*sigh* But, what can we do? :(

Caline

Send out SM promotional flyers to everyone in the world trying to rejuvinate the Obsessive Spider-Man Fans enthusiasim?

Other than that, I don't know! Hum...I'll have to contimplate this one a bit longer. *Moves over towards the Thinking Corner to contimplate our mystery case*

This case from the point of view of a member who rarely posts:
I HAVE NO IDEA!!!!!
Well, actually, I have a theory. *puts on monocle like Watson* They may be reading, but not posting (like me:\ ), like ghosts wandering through the graveyard (yes I am STILL in the Halloween mood), or they are swamped with homework or work. Otherwise, I am cluless!:o

Ha ha.. Hello. Work is why I've been away. First shift and overtime. Admittlingly, my obsessiveness has gone down a tad considering what they are doing to the comics. I plan on getting the cd-roms soon to make me feel better.

spideyluver21

I see.

Well, Caline, there is one person we can check off of our list! Yay!

Our Updated List
-the next spider-girl

Phew!!! Our list IS dwindling! I'm so glad to see that!
I haven't seen you post in a couple of days SG4302! I must have not checked the treads you were posting in. Hum....but, anyhow, glad to see you here again!! ;)

And hey SGuy, I can understand your frustration with them not following the comics. That's how I felt with the LOTR trilogy, cause I had read the books before I watched the movies and it's hard not to compare sometimes. But I have just learn to enjoy it for the movie and the story behind it all. Same goes for SM!

Wow....I didn't realize that. Gosh...that sucks.

I don't know much about the comics so...bear with me when I ask questions that might sound silly to you guys, but when you say they are changing the comics to go more with the movie, does that include the Ultimate SM comics, or does that fall more under the Arch comics that were being discussed earlier in this thread?

Well, I know some stuff about the comics, but not near as much as sguy, but I believe they first made the change in Spectacular? I don't know for sure if that affects the others...and what sg43 said goes with it
