Sam Neil as Dr. Octopus

Now everyone who visits IMDB and Spidermanhype.com should already know this, and know that at the moment it's nothing to get really psyched about, considering Raimi said that Ock wouldn't be the villain (however this conflicts with Dunst saying that both Lizard and Doc Ock would appear)and that the film has only just begun the writing phase. However, Sam Neil was someone i never considered for the part, he completely slipped my mind! But now that it's been brought to my attention, it is actually an extremely good choice for the part, i mean people here have put forth some very good choices, and some extreme duds, but I think going on physicality and likeness to Octavius, along with prior film performances, Neil could turn in an extremely convincing and realistic Doc Ock. What do you guys think?

Actually I think that the best choice is actor Larry Drake (Dr. Giggles, Darkman).
He has an uncanny resemblance to the character and has the additional bonus that he has already worked before with Sam Raimi.

I know I have no say in this, but I can't see Sam Neil as Doc Ock. In fact, he was one of my choices for Carnage. If you see any of the Jurassic Park films, you'll notice he has sort of a crazy look in his eyes.
For Doc Ock, I would have liked to see Anthony Hopkins take the role--but only if he can kill his accent.

I agree. Sam Neil is not a good choice for Doc Ock. Now here's a good question: Who is going to play COnners and voice the Lizard?
