comes great responsibility....I hope that mr. raimi is taking those words to heart. He has a HUGE burden of pleasing the sharp-tongued, wise, mean as ****, innocent S-M fans out there.

That is what spider-man is all about "With great power, comes Great responsibility." The filmmakers also have to live up to this credo.

Raimi seems to be sticking very close to the comic, yet still translating it to the screen so that all the people who go to see it that haven't read all the books over the last 39 years, will get a great feel for what Spider-man and Peter Parker are all about.

I got the privilage to spend three days with the second unit at the Downey set in March, and I walked away feeling very impressed. We got the right director and crew for putting this together the best way. We're in very good hands, everyone have faith.

I agree FancyDan, I think Sam will represent Spiderman well, he won't let us down because he's a fan as well. I think he'll add things in the movie only the true fans will pick up on, but also he'll make it entertaining for the non-fans, just as Brian Singer did for X-Men..............I smell an MTV Movie Award :))
