There was a Cap. America movie brought out by tri star pictures in 1990 i think. The one with the Italian Red Skull.
it was a pretty good movie but i do think they need an updated version of it. Same with The Punisher with Dolph Lundgren (Masters of the universe) never seen it but i heard it sucked.

Yes, Cap America and Punisher were already done and both need to be redone. As for your other requests. Ang Lee of Crouching Tiger.... is signed to do The Hulk and they're looking for Directors to do Iron Man and Ghost Rider. Of which I think Sam Raimi may do Iron Man.

I know an Iron Man film is in the works. And I personally think that's just one of the coolest characters to translate to the big screen. I can't remember how many times I've been sitting there watching some of the better special effects (cgi) over the last couple of years, and said to myself.........man, that would be great for an "Iron Man" movie. He's just a perfect comic character for a new film.

As much as you want to see those comic book films, you probably won't see them anytime soon. Because the movie studios want to avoid another "Punisher," or "Captain America."
And just because a star is "signed on" doesn't mean the movie is going to get made. Nicolas Cage signed on to be Superman, and look where he went. Out the door, that's where.
And just because a movie is "in the works" doesn't mean it's going to get made either. "In the works" means in pre-production. If you want to get technical, there are about thirty-five to forty comic movies "in the works." About ten of those may actually get out of pre-production.
Not trying to be a defeatist, just trying to be honest. I also want to see those movies, but I'm just being realistic.

You're preachin' to the choir! Tell us something we don't know. I've been waitin' **** near a decade for this Spidey film, so I know all too well what you're talkin' about.

But hey! Good things come to us who wait. The Spidey movie they're making right now will be so much better than what they could have made eight or ten years ago. And if I live to see a few sequels, then I can die just a little bit happier!

I heard Nicolas Cage signed on as Ghost Rider...must have been dying to be in a comic-based flick. Kevin Smith would be a great choice as a writer for a comic-turned-movie. Too bad he isn't that visual of a director, or he could direct it too.

No freaking way...he's too old. He could pull off John Blaze, no freaking way could he be Dan Ketch. Yeah, I know Blaze was the original GH, but Dan is a much cooler GH than Blaze. I can totally envision Nick Brendan (Xander from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) as Dan Ketch and GH. He can be serious and comical at the same time. There was one episode where he stared down a major big bad with cold, simple words that would make anyone tremble with fear corming from GH..."You're gonna die...and I'm gonna be there."

Catch ya later,

The word is that a Daredevil movie is in the works with Matt Damon as one of the top candidates to play Matt Murdock. He says he really wants the part ( He is a big DD fan). Mark Steven Johnson is the Writer/Director (Grumpy Old Men). Apparently his script is very gritty, violent and dark (Frank Miller style) and Elektra will be in it. I am afraid that it will be editted to hell though and it will lose its grittiness. I grew up reading Frank Millers Daredevil and hope the movie can be just as good as the comic although that'll be tough

The Punisher movie was cool for a slim to none budget.

Dolph was fine... all he had to do was break out the Whoop-*** to wash down his 22cc's of "Hater-ade".

Daredevil is the man.

Captain America should be an epic three part movie adventure; filmed one after another from the beginning to the formation of the Avengers.

Hulk is just good movie material, he's so **** cool.

Fantastic Four would be awesome; but if you're going to make it a comedy. Make it funny, but not retarded funny. Make it funny like Men in Black, not like obligatory stoopid funny.

Maybe Forbush Man (--What The?!) can get his own little somethin'-somethin' like a cartoon during the trailer spots in the movie. Remenisint of the Bugs Bunny cartoons that used to come on before the main movie.

I don't think any more comics should be disgraced any longer. we should stop hollywood from making the movies until they get a person who would actually be able to summarize a storyline w/o destroying the comic or adding any stupid stuff of their own to compensate for the lack of special effects.

If anyone's gonna do a film based on a comic book then it's gotta be Sam Raimi! Don't forget that X-Men 2 is in productuion already but that's Bryan Singer who's directing it. Man, I love it when comic books get moviefied 'cos it's great to see what the director's views are on the comic series! VISIT MY SITE! (http://www.geocities.com/ultimatemarveluk)

You're right on the money about the DD movie, but it won't be Matt Damon as good ol Matty, Ben Affleck will don the red tights. I would have chosen Matt Damon over Ben, anyday. Either way, it'll be an awsome movie.

I tell you what, the comic I would love to see made into a movie is Iceman. I think it would be visually stunning if they could pull off the special effects for that.

They are making a Ghost Rider movie with Nicholas Cage as Ghost Rider.
